Government - July 2007

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Government

It appears that Mexico has decided to send all of their criminals, deadbeats, and undesirable citizens to the United States. And our government agreed to accept these people so that they can become cheap labor to do "the jobs that Americans don't want to do." (I love that phrase!)
Maybe this "agreement" is not so secret. It actually began with President Clinton's North American Free Trade Agreement, (NAFTA). (That was just one of his many ineternational blunders.) And now it is being accelerated by President Bush. If things keep going the way they are America will have no sovereignty left. What do you think? Is the Mexican government and the U.S. government in a shady agreement here, or is this just a bunch of people who happen to be over running the Southern border at the same period of time? Why aren't the two governments doing more to stop this than just pushing paper around in Washington? Give me your opinion and why you feel the way you do.

They promised to do the "people's business" yet all we get are petty investigations which waste the taxpayer's money. We didn't elect them for this purpose. The Republican-led Congress acheived much more!

Is there any government agency worse than the EPA except for maybe the IRS? This is a popular, but destructive agency that is raising gas prices to ridiculous levels. When will we shut down the Greens favorite bureaucracy, allowing the price of gas to finally return to market levels for the first time in 35 years (gas prices skyrocked about 35 years ago, which was when the EPA was founded, so the EPA is causing gas prices to go up).

I mean do you really know how many people go without and health plan. It's all very distrubing and I think the government should figure out a way to get every last person great healthcare at an affordable price.

I brought a letter to our local post office with the correct amount of unused, mint condition first class stamps affixed to the envelope. The postal worker argued that because they were stamps from the 1920's through 1940's, they could no longer be used for current postage because their machines couldn't read them. I am a stamp collector, and have used my surplus stamps for postage for many decades.

I don't choose sides on politics and I don't want you to get snotty or anything in your answer because I love to hear different peoples stories.I'm just affraid that our next president will pull our troops! If he does then don't we forfit.and give up our countries pride.and if we just pull out and not forfit, then isn't america afraid that the war will come over here.we have soldiers for a reason.they are fighting to keep us safe.yet we want them home.look at 9/11.they werent afraid to do that.what makes u think they wont attack and invade over here.maybe they wont.there is still a chance that 9/11 was set up by the government.but you never know.im 13yrs old and could care less about politics and could possibly be dead before they attack us.but personally,im scared to death.

Everytime I see something in the news I don't like, it's the liberal media lying to me. They lie all the time. For example I saw in a LIBERAL news paper that the stock market went down. Now I don't like this so it must be more liberal lies! Ithought people who owned things were rich, how come newspaper and news channel owners aren't more like our leaders, and lie for the good of the nation?

Do we have an obligation to one another as a nation and as communities to base our voting decisions on what is best for all? Do we have obligations to consider questions of justice when voting for people who can affect the rights of minorities? Are these questions only a liberal would ask or should everyone ask them?
