Yes, they are called the Illuminati, and you DON'T want to become part of it; it's IMPOSSIBLE unless you are one of the 13 super-rich families that control 95% of the world's wealth. That would be names like Rockefeller, Rothschild, Vanderbuilt, J.P. Morgan, and European royalty. If you have to ask, that lets you OUT.

This amazes me. Yes, money controls America. We are a capitalist nation. Money rules. All these negative replies are because these people don't have any. Capitalism is wonderful. You can make as much or as little as you want and you will get what you work for. It's a matter of how bad do you want it.

The Kennedy clan is an example of part of the American ruling class.
In the U.S.A., there is no official ruling class, except that WE THE PEOPLE endorse them by supporting their elitism.
If it were up to me, ALL elitists and ALL tyrants would be at the BOTTOM of the ladder of power.
The MEDIA are the WORST because they take the lead in supporting the elitists. Due to their biased control over public opinion, they put them in power and keep them there.

Fourscores and seven years ago, our forefathers brought forth upon this land a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the preposition that all men are created equal.

And now, you're telling me there's a ruling class? I should tell the Kennedys not to take the Rockefellers for breakfast. I should tell the President not to take his Secretary of State from the Rockefeller Foundation. I should tell Congress to cut this practice, cut and cut cleanly!!

There is no ruling class and their is no joining one. You could consider the wealthy with political ties a ruling class but for the most part they are scattered and their interests do not align. In some cases their interests compete with each other. Become wealthy and you can be part of the ruling class.

Yes... it's called money. Those with money rule us. Money buys spindoctors, advertisers, ad time, lobby groups, etc.

Look at the music industry. They're waging an unparallelled and unmonitored campaign against music sharing and suing people left and right (even people who don't own computers or have internet) and no one is lifting a finger because the politicians are fat and happy off the music industries contributions.

Money buys vote, opinions... anything. It rules us.

If you want to rule... get money.

The de-facto ruling class is made of the "super-rich"--the people with financial assets above $100,000,000. These people shape the direction of Big Business, which in turn shapes the direction of everything else.
