I sure hope they pull them out sooner or later, you do realize that the next president will be in office for at least 4 years right.
I honestly don't think things can be fixed over there because their people don't seem to want to be trained and there will always be more countries sending more terrorists to keep up the fight.
I believe their goal is to bankrupt America and they are doing a great job of it.

To pull the troops would be the same as surrendering and giving up. Whatever we say and do, we will be branded as cowards and murderers. We fight the enemy there so that they don't come here in the US. If the civilians there would only think about their future and not of their radicalism then they would be okay. Pulling out the troops would be a real disaster. People are saying that they support the troops but yet they wanted to prove to the world that what they are fighting for is in vain and that all the deaths were just for nothing because we would just surrender like the former Soviet Republic did.

Nobody can predict what will happen either way. But simply keeping the troops there so we don't "forfeit" or lose our "pride" is just a silly way to approach the situation. If that were the case, we'd all be hurting from pulling out of Vietnam.. But I doubt many would say that was a mistake.
Personally, I'd like to give the gov't the opportunity to establish themselves and get it together.. But let's face it.. We've been there for 5 years and things continuously worsen.. Sooner or later we have to come to a realization that we are not helping the situation by being there.. I'd think the best option is to set a timetable for withdrawal.. That being said, it is a possibility that we'll have to go back in the future. But at the rate things are going, if we stay... We'll still be there anyways..

undesirable, undesirable, undesirable. the subsequent president won't be able to pull out the troops from Iraq. To plenty artwork has nonetheless yet to be carried out. merely because of the fact we've fantastically much completely pushed Al Queda out of the republic, that still does not recommend the the interest is over. Do to this actuality, Iraqi officers are inquiring for a US militia presence in Iraq on up into the 2020's. I additionally believe Gator (dude that spoke back above me). He has quite summed it up.

I don't think it should be about 'pride.' Sometimes pride is just stupid.
I think whether or not we pull out of Iraq, there will be trouble. We're going to have more terrorist attacks in the next couple of years, even if we stay in/leave Iraq.
But i think the smart thing to do would be to phase our troops and let Iraqi forces begin to govern their own country. And keep in mind, we aren't in Iraq for the right reasons. I mean to sound like i'm trying to brainwash you.
Anyway. bottom line is I think we're going to face a lot of trouble no matter what road we take. We can get out of Iraq if we know what we're doing and help both countries.

No, think the US brought the war on themselves because of the US's insecurities. The US should learn to take care of themselves before trying to fight other peoples probems. If the troops come out they will continue to carry on the way they always did... but at least the US can concentrate on their own problems. If someome is wanting to do another 9/11 the troops arent stopping it, they would do it anyway, no matter where the troops are. If the troops stay there and continue to provoke them, then they just might do another attack.

We will not be pulling our troops early out of anywhere until they are finished with the job they are doing. You shouldn't be scared to death. While its good to know current events, its bad to let it effect you this way. Your grandparents probably remember sitting in the hall with their heads between their knees in during the drills in case of a nuclear blast. Just relax and have fun. You are too young to let the games of politics get to you.

you shouldn't be scared, sweetie.
you've got a lot of sides of this story, and that's really awesome! i was 13 when 9/11 happened, and it scared the heck out of me, but i've come to realize that fear is how our government likes to keep us under control. the fact that you're considering that the government caused 9/11, by whatever means, is good because you're thinking.
there's pretty much no chance of the war coming over here. islamic terrorists do not have the ability to wage war over a country as well protected and reinforced as ours. think of the sheer number of soldiers in our country... i highly doubt that anyone would stand by while people tried to take over our country.
we're not in as much danger as people make it seem. don't let things like this get you down. war is something to be aware of, but don't let it make you afraid to live your life out as a teenager!

It won't happen. No one will pull out our troops and if they should decide to it will take a while, a year or more, to do it. We will be there for some time. Peace

To pull the troop would be the sane thing to do, by having troop in Iraq and Afganistan we are creating a reason for terrorist to exist, the thing to do is to pull out and warn thoughs that want to hurt us that their country of origin will pay a price for their actions.
