For the same reason they :
-defend a lying President and a President who wages an ILLEGAL war
-and a President who gives the finger to all mainstream Christian Churches including his own Methodist Church that have condemned the fundy President's Iraq atrocity
-and a President who has turned a terrorist free zone in Iraq into a haven for terrorists
-and a President that has so angered Muslims around the world with his contention that GOD directed him to wage his Iraqi war that Bin Laden's membership has increased ten-fold
-and a President who has made America and the world LESS safe from terrorism than before 9/11\
-and a President that has forever more destroyed the world's respect for and faith in the US
-and a President who should be charged with crimes against humanity for having waged an illegal, lie based war that has resulted in the SLAUGHTER of over 400,000 INNOCENT Iraqi civilians.
AND THESE DUMB PEOPLE WHO REPRESENT A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS attested to their immoral anti-Christian behaviors by RE-ELECTING THIS EVIL PRESIDENT !!!!
You are a nation whose majority by their own behaviors has proven it's moral bankrupcy and absolutely MONUMENTAL HYPOCRICY .
A CHRISTIAN NATION UNDER GOD??? I THINK NOT,I KNOW NOT !!!

You could ask why dumb people ask dumb questions, it is just as valid.
You obviously hate Bush, and nothing will change that. You aren’t asking this question to get a reasonable discourse on why people support Bush; you just want a forum to bash him. That is your prerogative, but don't take the polls that just because Bush's approval ratings are low mean that everyone who disapproves of him hates him. And just because someone disagrees with your view on Bush does not make them dumb. So stop with the name calling and think about the issues, stop lashing out and maybe you will learn something.
I currently disapprove of how Bush is running this country right now, but I backed him on the Iraq war. And I back his decision to follow through until the job is done, regardless of past mistakes.
His stance on the Immigration debacle has me fuming, but I still don't hate him. As for being Dumb, I don't think so. Anyone who can go to Yale and get C's can't be all that dumb. I promise you, Yale is a good sight more difficult to get through than most state colleges.
As for the economy, under Bush it has been among the strongest the country has ever seen. Just this week the stock market hit a new record high, before correcting, and almost every major economist out there see's it growing even higher.
As for the debt, it is huge, but do you honestly think that if a Democrat had been in the white house it would have been smaller, come on! The biggest spending bill of Bushes administration had to be the prescription drug plan, and the Democrats hated it. Why? Because it did not spend enough. So don't blame Bush entirely, blame the government officials you and I elected. They could stop the spending but they don't

Bush is not dumb. sure, he doesnt have a good speaking ability, but what americans do?
Does he make bad judgement calls? Yes, but that doesnt mean hes dumb.
i am by no means a gwb fan. i didnt vote for him either time, but common sense must be used.
Ignore your biased views and look at what he has done.
he has had all but 1 bill pass (which may change if he can pass the amnesty with the democrats).
despite a terrorist attack that cost this country roughly 100 billion dollars (ive heard as high as 1 trillion), the growth has not slowed. Even the poorest americans are making more now then they were.
with a republican majority, he passed his medicare prescription drug bill, the largest increase in social spending since medicare was created.
he has passed his no child left behind act with a republican congress.
despite ballooning national debt, he has passed the largest tax cuts in history.
the energy bill, obviously written for the benefits of the en. companies, with untold billions in pork, passed with a republican congress.
the dow topped 14,000 for the first time ever.

Security in numbers? I'm a registered Republican and I can asssure you I have no love for Mr. Bush. I supported and defended him for a bit, because I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I kept getting disappointed. As a Republican I can assure you he doesn't represent the values of the party I support. I can't wait until he leaves office.

Actually according to scholars, Jimmy Carter is rated lower then Bush. But my question is, why are you getting on the internet and bad mouthing the president, I guarantee he has done a better job then you ever could. And the budget defecit grew much more under Clinton then Bush ( look it up), now I understand most people hate Bush because of the war in Iraq, but I think that is idiotic. By the way, calling people who defend the president dumb, means a whole lot coming from someone who doesn't even have proper grammar. Open a 1st grade English book buddy ( Capitalization, Punctuation)

When your core constituency is made of uneducated, uninformed, Bible maniac, NASCAR watching morons, you can count on unwavering support. Wave a flag in front of them, recall American victories at Okinawa, Germany and they'll all fall in lock step with you. Ofcourse, their limited intellect precludes them from seeing their 'common man' president works against their very interests and welfare each and every day. By the way, Clinton left office with a budget SURPLUS, which Bush quickly eroded.

Well.....I don't think Bush started our national debt with his presidency, it was already there.
I do believe that while I may not agree with all of his views, he is our President and should be respected because of that.
He may not be the brightest, but the other options were worse. And one man does not make up a political party or represent everyone's views from there.
There are men behind the man, because of this I don't believe it right to bash or blame everything on him.

1) People that disagree with you aren't automatically dumb. That's a bigoted excuse no matter who uses it, and simply tells people you yourself (not the side you are on) have no legitimate argument to make on that issue.
2) Our President does not deserve to be called names. To be opposed? Yes. To have his policies argued and protested? Yes. That is American and patriotic if done respectfully and legally. This post does not qualify. It's just cheap.
3) I'm not a republican. I side with our country, whether I am protesting a particular policy or cheering it.
4) The national debt issue is the most one-sided, uneducated red-herring we have ever debated. Most people have no idea where we come out compared to other nations. This is a case of pulling out one number in isolation AND IGNORING THE AMOUNT THAT IS OWED THE U.S. by other nations. Compare the whole picture and we come out as one of the most secure nations in the history of the world, financially speaking. A little economics knowledge never hurts.
Open our eyes? Great idea.
