Hmmm...YES?! You know the saying "money is the mother milk of politics" or "politics is the best paid whore"...anyways...in order for the candidates to get money for their campaigns from donors is to promise them that they'll change this or that policy...so if you really look at it...politicians are representing not the people who elect them, but the people who give them money for the campaigns...so, in that view the whole system is corrupt. Otherwise, what do you think lobbyists do? Offer this or that in exchange for the politician to vote a certain way on a certain issue...politicians salaries are not that good...about 120,000 (I worked on the hill) but have you ever met a poor politician? Come on, think!

Not in the sense of bribery, such as is the common practice in other countries, but yes in the sense of power-lobbyists. Campaign contribution had run amok a few years back, but thanks to McCain, a lot has been done to curb those problems. Some on the Hill think campaign reform didn't go far enough, but most people seem reasonably happy with the outcome. You just can't compare the US issues with the seedy corruption found in places like Mexico, Eastern Europe, or South America. We're not anywhere near that level of corruption!

On every level of the government, local, state and national. Just take a look at who supported Bush going into the 2000 and 2004 elections and then look at those groups that benefitted from Bush's presidency. You'll have your answer.

Thankfully, no. America's leaders are voted in by an enlightened, sober and responsible public.

Unlike other countries, we enjoy freedom due to the oversight of men who have sworn allegiance to our Constitution.

This guarantees that we will never suffer the loss of our liberties, nor be subject to any untoward future.

Other nations will be burdened by millions of cameras, that are centrally databased for tracking. This, coupled with digital transactions and communications will cause those people to be literally controlled, monitored and enslaved, unlike us.
