Shouldnt we just stay on Daylight savings time for good?
Do you know how depressing the winter is no less than taking our daylight away and making it dark earlier!

I send things overseas regularly and like to put as many different kinds of stamps on the envelopes/packages as possible (not too much over the actual cost) as alot of my contacts like US stamps and their variety.

...Anyone know of a web site that, if you put in a postage amount, it will calculate the number of individual different stamp values, up to the amount needed...?

An example would be: postal cost is: $1.67. The stamp combination I could put on would be:
3X.39 + .23 + .15 +, .09 +, .02 +, .01 = $1.67
(just looking for some kind of automated calculation program that would/could give me the same answer..)

Thanks, Mike

same with the ban on fox hunting should a man not be to kill a fox if he choose?

I will be fair and give them the minimum wage but aside from that?
well ok the 10% rate but they have taken that away now anyway.
working tax credits i suppose but aside from that? fastest growing G7 economy? ban on fox hunting i suppose but I mean aside from that 2 million less unemployed people then under the tories well yes but aside from that what has labour done?
basically aside from the minimum wage, working tax credits, strong economy with no recesions, independance for the bank of england, devolution for scotland an wales, low unemployment, banning fox hunting, increased spending in health and education and the banning of smoking in pubs and this so called reduction to 20% basic in come tax rate what has labour actually done for the people of the UK?

We are dumping Billions (literally)of dollars every month into the "WAR" or Military interests
Why don't we have a Department of Peace?
This would be a Dept.of Peace with the main goal to find peaceful solutions to world conflicts and domestic conflicts.
If a Dept. of Peace did exist would you contirbute to funding it?
Would you care if your tax dollars funded it?

Yes I know there is a "United Nations" - but they are heavily influenced by the Military.

This was an answer someone gave to another question. I've never heard the system described this way before...

" The 2 major political parties are like parents.

The democrats are like one's mother. Always the one who kissed boo-boos, tells you it will be alright, is nice to the neighbors, keeps things tidy around the house, says things like "wait until your father gets home", "well, lets see how can we fix this", and "nobody should do my kid wrong".

The republicans are like one's dad. Football, motorcycles, racing...hates the neighbors, but is nice because the wife will gripe, tells you to suck it up when you get a boo-boo, handles the bully down the street, goes to work at a job he hates, fixes things around the house, and is generally grumpy when it comes to your mom. Says things like "I don't care; ask your mother". "knock off all that noise", "stop whining" and "what did you do to deserve it" '
