No.

Even trying to do so would start a civil war...and I'd be one of the resisters.

First: Communism is a wonderful system. It would ensure that everyone has adequite food, clothing, shelter, and medical care. As Marx quoted, 'From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs'. BTW, Marx stole that from Blanc who stole it from de SaintSimon. The original is "The whole of society ought to strive towards the amelioration of the moral and physical existence of the poorest class; society ought to organize itself in the way best adapted for attaining this end."
Anyway,
SECOND. Communism does not work. Communism will not work. A few small groups have managed to make communism work on an extremely small scale, but never on a national level.
Humans have too much ambition to ever volunteer for the communistic precepts and communism will not work when forced.

I'm glad you asked that as a question, because that is obviously something that should never become a statement. Of course America wouldn't be better under communist rule. Communism doesn't work because there's always at least one communist leader who becomes corrupt and abuses the people. Even liberals would hate communism eventually. That's the way I see it, you don't have to agree, thanks for reading. God bless.

Well you have the commies vs theNWO now. Can anyone find someone out of those 2(like D Hunter)?

I had to add on b/c of some of the answers. The torture camps overseas(as described in book below) byIntelligence, are very brutal capturing people beating them up then finding out if they did anything. Some think these are training sites for...? What's the sign of communism? Rich v poor, not allowed to speak out, no guns, STATE run schools, rights very restricted, etc. Won't that be horrible-I hope we make a good choice in 08' and it's fair.

Likely not.

Communist countries have greater humanitarian issues than the USA. The basic problem is the degree to which you are managed and told what to do. A government cannot possibly know your personal situation well enough to make good decisions for you. Under a Democratic system you have greater freedoms, and greater responsibilities. Benefits and Burdens.

If you can't handle the responsibilities, you don't get so many benefits. It's that simple.

Liberals? Hey, I'm a liberal. I like that people, not government get to make decisions about their own lives. Larger entities that impact greater numbers of us, like businesses need to be regulated and told what to do because of the impact they can have.

So I think government needs to have rules and laws that ensure that hotels maintain certain levels of cleanliness, but I don't think we need rules and laws to tell me how clean to keep my kitchen.

Some ideas may seem a little socialistic, but I don't think anyone, of any party, wants a communist government.

But, if anybody does want a communist form of government, I'll personally buy them a one way ticket out of here!

Yeah, look what it did to the Soviet Union and Cuba. Look what the rest of the European economies are like. We need the double digit unemployment. We need to have riots in the streets because companies in France are allowed to fire someone. GASP!!!!

The Government has proven itself unable to do almost anything and constantly abuses what power it does have. You want to have them decide where you live, work, pray?
You want to Trust Bush, Cheyney and Rove to decide those things.

All government is evil, the trick how much evil you have to live with

Marxist or a Marxist-leninist Or Stalinist?

If it is a Marxist state then yes I would say it would be.
The other two, dictatorship, would not be so good but neither is the American system so it depends on the leader.
