Have you ever seen the country this divided before? I am 32 and can only recall the last ten to twelve years or so. Is it always like this during times of war or is this war unique? Any insight would be appreciated. Please state your age. Thanking you in advance . . .

Viet Nam was bad but not like now I my brother was in Nam for the Tet and there was no good outcome there. I'm from Ca. grew up here. it looks to me like the whole nation shifted right due to the likes of Rush and Bill O'really. without people knowing it we lost our compass, now days JFK would be saying (ask not what you can do for your country but ask what you can do for you) It seems that now days it's all about self and money grubbing, owning big cars than mini mansions, all show no meat. politicians look for sound bytes, and media moments rather than real dialog. the appearance is more important than content. Just keep spending. Matin Luther King would never get 6 seconds of media time now days, his message doesn't support big money. Patriotism is another thing they try and make it about a man or a party, IT'S about the constitution and it has been for over 200 years, Idiots in office come and go.

During the Vietnam war there were protests but it seemed like they were just put aside. The media for the most part treated them as a bunch of hippies. It seemed to me at the time that most anti war people ended up blaming the soldiers and not the government. They did not have the support our troops have now. My opinion only here but the Vietnam war was the first to have television coverage and that led to people realizing more of what happened.

The Vietnam war was pretty divisive. I was pretty young at the time but remember the marches and the terrible way the returning troops were treated.

I think that the liberals have become meaner, more vicious and more dishonest with the public and many people seem to be willing to follow that example. That isn't to say I think the conservatives are honest but on a relative basis I think the liberals have become far worse than in the past.

I'm 50 years old and grew up in California.

I've witnessed division in Presidential elections since FDR.

I've never seen the viciousness that is occurring today, from Hollywood, the media, and Congress.
Wars are always divisive. Even WWII had opponents, after Pearl Harbor. There were and always will be appeasers.

I recall that Sadaam had about 9 years to dispose of WMDs if they in fact existed. There is some evidence that they did.
Did you know that documents found in Baghdad indicated that he planned to export perfume to US, laced with biological germs?
I saw this translated from the docs.on TV. I never saw or heard it again.

I am 70 y.o. and Ihave never seen our country as divided as it is now , and it is primarily divided by our Zionist news's media as if they can keep the people fighting among themselves the people won't have the time to keep watch on them, just look at how we support Israel in their atrocities now, do you think our country would have ever supported this in the past?? look how our congress, senate , and our president supports Israel, if you haven't figured it out yet ask your self how many politicians have been ruined by our Zionist owned media, Israel has robbed America and caused more trouble than any war or any other difficulty America has ever had or seen. just ask your self who instituted the communist party in Russia for example and who controlled it thru out its life, it is a simple matter of researching who wrote the communist manifesto and who financed it inception , and who has did the most destruction to our country, Ariel Sharon stated Israel owned the U,S, IS HE RIGHT?

Hey I am in the same boat as you, I am 32 and I am wondering WTF is goin on with our country? Isn't it funny, how our country started by a revolution back in the day to clean up the strong hand of the leaders that ran this country. Looks to me like we are back in the same situation. Also looks like we are getting beat by our own game when it comes to fighting this war as we fought in the Revolutionary War by taking pop shots at the enemy and crushing their confidence instead its comin around back to us by the insurgents doin it to us . BUT it seems today if you even think that the war is wrong your pegged as being un-patriotic. I am lost in this game

This country was divided before the constitution was written.
In a country where free speech is ... uh hum..protected,even the kooky libs have to be heard. They are the ones driving the division.
