Public Sector Units have been the biggest keys of prosperity of Indian government. But lately, there have been debates and counter-debates regarding the necessity of decentralizing and privatizing PSUs. But how for is it viable and productive to privatize such huge public owned enterprises? Will people be really beniffited by this system or is it merely an act of foolishness on the government's part?

Seems like all the big focus is on color or gender. Are you Dems. shooting from the hip when castng your vote ? And only care if a down-trodden minority or a female gets into the Whitehouse. If you care about this country you would vote for the best of the best.

here they are tell me what you think " ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" JFK "the most frightening words you will ever hear are, I am from the government i am here to help" RR "The reasonable man looks at his surroundings and conforms himself to fit them, the unreasonable man looks at his surroundings and conforms his surrounding to fit himself, therefore the future of the free world depends on the unreasonable man" cant remember who said that. "Beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy" Ben Franklin. "A society shall be judged upon how they treat the lowest of them." cant remember either. any more good ones are very welcome. please give me your feed back on these.

There's small towns in this state that make there own rules and don't follow the law . Judges , police officers and the court system do as they please and get away with it . Certain judges, sheriffs and other officials have been investigated by the F.B.I. with no consiquicences . They are still sitting on the bench sending people to prison for less charges that they them selves are committing out of revenge, control and power . I've contacted every state official that I've been referred to with no luck .I've also been told by an X sheriff that he didn't even trust the F.B.I. and gave up his job because of it . What do I do ? There's even murder involved and no one with athority will start an investigation . The drug problem this state has with Meth and the grant monies are not being used to wipe out the Meth problem . Officers are using, contributing to keep it on the street and most officers either support the ingredients to make it,get money from it's sale. They protect the dealers

If you are from another country, do you think that your government is too big for its britches and if so, what would you do to make it better.

By big government, I mean a governing body that has offices for stupid and petty things and "oversight" committees to make sure that the funds for this and that are spent the right way, third parties, etc., etc.

Also, a government that blows $$$ on "bridges - to - nowhere" and stupid pork-barrel projects to appease lobbyists and spread the money around, you know?

I need to know if there is a huge difference between what Locke says of being under absolute arbitrary power, and just 'absolute power'. Absolute talks about being under Monarchy rule. but Arbitrary is only mentioned under the chapter on 'slavery'. However, I have to define what Locke views as absolute arbitrary power. But if you ask me the chapters discussing the 'state of war' , under absolute monarchy, as well as the chapter on slavery can all be placed under 'absolute arbitrary power'.
What do you think.? People who only KNOW Locke should respond and who have actually read this book. Do not quote from other peices please. You'll only confuse me. the question should be answered at face value. thanks ;)

The framers of the constitution introduced checks and balances and seperation of powers. So why is the president more powerful than the congress and the supreme courty, especially with sending troops to iraq?

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... how many want out. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom."

Canadian news agencies reported today that Algore has been issuing demands from his living room in Tennessee to the Canadian Parliament regarding their nation's policy on global warming. Today Canadian Prime Minister Harper issued a statement in Ottawa "telling Algore where to put it". Your comments are appreciated.
