Public Sector Units have been the biggest keys of prosperity of Indian government. But lately, there have been debates and counter-debates regarding the necessity of decentralizing and privatizing PSUs. But how for is it viable and productive to privatize such huge public owned enterprises? Will people be really beniffited by this system or is it merely an act of foolishness on the government's part?

Privatization will only be effective if the corporations that will assume the public services have the money, manpower and expertise to run the units. The only motive that will make the private sector to to do good is profit.
