I've heard of some major cities actually banning restaurants from using Trans Fat in their foods. Yes, it's heathier, but if we ban everything that's healthy isn't it stepping on our freedom to eat what we want? If we let government succeed in banning Trans Fat what's next? Banning sugar? Forcing exercise? People need to take their own responsibility to eat healthy NOT let the government make our decision. What do you think?

The libs love to say how we shouldn't "impose democracy" on people who haven't stood up for it on their own. "Maybe they don't want democracy" the libs say.

So why do they insist upon imposing ant-poverty programs on poor people who have refused to take steps towards their own prosperity? Maybe they want to be poor. Some people take a vow of poverty for religious reasons, and we should respect that.

Who are we to judge?

Why do those that have no intention of voting for her keep demanding that she you the words "I made a mistake"?

Everyone knows that the mistake was made by the Bush administration by using cherry picked intelligence info and ignoring the generals on how to run the war.

The House of Lords has blocked legislation - and given the government a bloody nose.

There is a huge amount of bad legislation getting through Parliament that should have been blocked by the House of Lords in the past. Do you think the House of Lords will reassert itself in reviewing and amending badly framed legislation ?

I am currently an American citizen. If I become a citizen of another country (no dual citizenship) in my 40's, what happens to all the money I put in social security? Can I get it back as a lump sum? Do I lose it?

pardon me for entering a UK discussion board but i am fed up with brits coming into our boards and asking questions like "don't americans realize how much the world hates them" or "do americans know there's a world outside the US" so i'm here to answer these questions.

YES we know we are hated by the world, how can we not? the media reminds us of it every 8 seconds.

YES we know there's a world outside the US. with all the billions we've spent on foreign aid and the thousands of our young soldier's lives we've sacrificed to help other countries, how can we not?

satisfied???

Statistics don't back that up! Whenever more economic freedom is given to a people placed under a big government tyranny, they can pull the poverty level up. When more government is used, the poverty might get a free vaccine but are paying twice as much for everything else in the private sector, food, housing, cars!
Please google economic freedom and notice those nations that use alot of government and those who do not! You will notice almost every single big government country can't even afford to pay for their poor people anymore! No everyone is poor and doesn't have healthcare! Drain, drain, drain the economy, maybe that will help!(sarcasm)

Open question.

I don't want people to consider the Loose Change videos as evidence. Nobody mention Loose Change.

I want people to consdier the official investigators evidence.

I don't want to believe the conspiracy theory. However could somebody explain their views on the molton steel found still burning at 1000s of degrees in the basement levels without a steady supply of oxygen 2 weeks into clearing Ground Zero. The official investigators evidence supports the theory. What are your views?
