Why do those that have no intention of voting for her keep demanding that she you the words "I made a mistake"?

Everyone knows that the mistake was made by the Bush administration by using cherry picked intelligence info and ignoring the generals on how to run the war.

Because she and others fell for it. They now know this, but at the time, how could they know? They couldn't have just assumed that they were being lied to. They believed the threat was real. There is nothing they can do about it now and I don't think they should apologize for it either.

When she voted for the war, 9/11 was fresh in everyone's mind. Since she was a US Senator from New York, there was no way in hell she could have voted against the war. What gets me, nevertheless, is her insistence that if voted president she would bring the troops home. This is dangerously naive and simply pandering to the crowd. I'm sure she is way to intelligent to think she could bring the troops home and the USA would be in the same global position as when her husband was president. Times for this country and around the world changed drastically because of 9/11. As a nation we are going to have to deal with these changes.

Well, personally I think that Senator Clinton has a good chance to be our next president although ,she might have a little trouble in the Middle East and their beliefs about a woman presidencies although, as long as her husband is there beside her, things should work out. She is an intelligent lady and a career organized individual that has plenty of experience in government influential policies etc. I wish her the best!

Your question is about Hillary, and you indicated that she acknowledged a mistake was made, because she voted for the use of force in Iraq! I disagree with you on what she did or did not admit to regarding her vote. Hillary, in her arrogant fashion, tried to twist her intentions regarding her vote. Hillary is on record as saying she didn't approve of use of force, but instead, giving the inspectors more time to find the WMD's!

This, of coarse, is an example of the twisted words of a pathological liar who cannot admit wrong doing or isn't able to separate the truth from fiction. This is what the dumb @ss liberals want as their next president! How sad is that?

Obviously, if you believe we made a mistake in going into Iraq, admitting it would be a good thing. And obviously, Clinton admitting it makes her a bigger person then Bush. But you have to realize that many don't see it as a mistake. So they see her as wrong for admitting to a mistake that wasn't a mistake.

Thats why I hope Obama makes it to the 2008 elections. He said from the very get go that " I am not against wars in general, I am against a DUMB war." that took some guts right after 9/11. And some brains. I would hate to have to vote for hillary. Especially when we have such a good candidate in Obama.

She only apologized because she needed to get the far left behind her in her run for President. She knew it was the right thing to do then, and she knows it now, but admitting it would ensure that she would NOT be selected as the Democratic choice in the race for President.

That's was the plan to miss lead congress.. then single out any dissenter as unpatriotic. She made a mistake by believing what she was told and not demanding proof and or that congress vote on a legal "Declaration of war" as our Constitution demands

Politics is a sewer, and the Republicans fear Hillary above all else. They know the power of the Clilnton name, and know between Bill and Hillary, Hillary was always the brains of the operation. Anything they can do to detract from Hillary's public appeal is fair game. The know she will be the next President, and it terrorfies them, they know the public pig trough is about to be closed.

Good point! The right and tabloid like media is trying to create controversy where there is none. She was swept along and fooled like most others. She said, "knowing what she knows now" and I think that's good enough. She wasn't presented with all intelligence, just the "cherry picked" kind.
