Statistics don't back that up! Whenever more economic freedom is given to a people placed under a big government tyranny, they can pull the poverty level up. When more government is used, the poverty might get a free vaccine but are paying twice as much for everything else in the private sector, food, housing, cars!
Please google economic freedom and notice those nations that use alot of government and those who do not! You will notice almost every single big government country can't even afford to pay for their poor people anymore! No everyone is poor and doesn't have healthcare! Drain, drain, drain the economy, maybe that will help!(sarcasm)

I really don't know where you get your information; but anybody with a wit of intelligence will tell you that the Republican platform has in it as a major plank, "LESS GOVERNMENT"
It has not been a plank in the Democratic platform that I can remember.
Start reading sites which do NOT have a political agenda and you'll be better served by the information

Demonrats believe that government can help solve people's problems. However, it's a very inefficient system at best to tax the public and then give that money to a bureaucrat who can't get a job in the private marketplace and compete and just wants a cushy job with benefits and a pension who then hires staff and pays for office space with our taxdollars to then send that money back down to help the people liberals say it's intended for. Liberalism is a farce.

Without government the country would be in chaos, there would be no order, no services, no reason for predator corporations not to rape the public even more then it does now.
