The sound of welfare disgust me.The city I'm in ;there are a lot of people on welfare. They get every damn thing. Free food, nice house they only pay $10.00 for, a big amount of income taxes money, no job, get there hair and nails did all the time. It's just not fair. What do you think about welfare. What should be the limit !

One of the strongest arguments in favor of democracy is that there are no "experts" in government and this is why the people are good in governing matters. Lately the Republican party has been saying that the Democrat party will bring disaster to the U.S. and doesnt this statement undermine our government? If you think about it then the Republicans are saying that they are better suited to govern, hence the "experts". Dont get me wrong, but Democrats do it too but to a philosopher these ideas surprise me. What do you think and please no bashing and dumb comments.

Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid but after reading "The world is flat" by Thomas Friedman, and “The confession of an Economic Hit man" I am beginning to think that the US is not providing the public with the whole story.

Is there a company that provides local channels from all over the world? I want to see what people at China are seeing. The same with India. Is there a company that provides such service?

It is Monday the 19th of February 2007 and I have just seen the ITV1 late night program "make your play" and a TEN YEAR OLD GIRL got through to the studio at 1:18am on a Monday morning.

These pathetic programs need to be closed down for good.

I've been kind of interested in learning how each attempt was made, but I can't find a list of all of them, just the strangest ones. Does anyone know where a list of them may have been made available to the public? I'm only asking as a student with an overwhelming sense of curiosity. Thanks! ^^

I think they are trying to mess with us with their whole going and shooting satellites down. Yeah, I hope we get Michael Savage as President soon. Trade is unfair, they have no civil rights, and are repaciously trying to conquer the world.

In America at the moment is the general opinion on Bush at the moment positive or negative? How many believe what he says is happening? Must be a fair few considering he's still president (however dodgy the circumstances of that election!)

Henry Wriston, the father of future Citicorp Bank CEO Walter Wriston said, "total war calls for industrial power and business efficiency fully as much as for fighting men and an aggressive spirit. It suddenly becomes clear that government need business and needs it desperately. There can be no doubt that harassment of business impedes the war effort".

Now I hear a lot of people talking about supporting our troops yet no one seems to mention that we need to support our big business interests too.

Maybe in some way, the war is supporting their business interests, I don't know. But if tax cuts and more business friendly policies could help companies like Haliburton help us win the war, shouldn't we give it a try?

I am doing a project on describing a person's job in the executive branch of the federal government. I found information on the person's job in the White House tending to the President. The executive branch includes the whole white house duties right? For example, I found a job of working with the White House military office. That is an executive branch job right? Please help me clear this up asap! Thank you

Elect me and my friends to power. The country becomes a military dictatorship where everybody who isnt from here either gets turfed out or gassed and then cremated. Every home is required to keep a copy of the holy bible and the turner diaries on the mantelpiece. Anyone committing a criminal act is shot. Curfews are in force. baseball caps and hoodies are banned. Only certain people are allowed cars and firearms. Anyone committing rape first gets gang-raped then force fed horse manure before being killed. The channel tunnel gets dynamited and there are armed guards all along the coast and at all airports and seaports with strict instructions that anybody trying to enter illegally is shot on sight, and anybody who doesnt want to work gets no benefits whatsoever. Just think of what the country would save in healthcare costs, DSS payments, the cost of running prisons etc etc. Utopia or Dystopia?
