Utopia or Dystopia?

Elect me and my friends to power. The country becomes a military dictatorship where everybody who isnt from here either gets turfed out or gassed and then cremated. Every home is required to keep a copy of the holy bible and the turner diaries on the mantelpiece. Anyone committing a criminal act is shot. Curfews are in force. baseball caps and hoodies are banned. Only certain people are allowed cars and firearms. Anyone committing rape first gets gang-raped then force fed horse manure before being killed. The channel tunnel gets dynamited and there are armed guards all along the coast and at all airports and seaports with strict instructions that anybody trying to enter illegally is shot on sight, and anybody who doesnt want to work gets no benefits whatsoever. Just think of what the country would save in healthcare costs, DSS payments, the cost of running prisons etc etc. Utopia or Dystopia?

Very good point, i think you speak fo a lot of the nation. I work, my husband works, i went to university. we have debt up to our eyeballs and can only afford to go out once a month. our debt is due to renovating our flat to make it modern and liveable (plus my student loan, thankyou Mr Blair). But the people who live around me get free rent, dole, council tax, child benefit and other extras. The council is now giving them all new front doors, steps, back gates and other things to improve their property. I dont qualify because after studying (I worked part time during this period) I now work full time and dont qualify even though i have been trying to improve my life for the last nine years. I am not on a graduate wage as there is no well paidwork for me as a photographer with no car (which i cannot afford). But this is not a sob story, it is a diary of a person who tries hard to better themselves and gets **** on by the government who originally called themselves the working class party. Sorry 'blue' labour but you have failed me and many more.
