After all of this atrocious spending on "skirmishes" in Iraq, why don't we save our soldier's lives and our country's money by actually going after bin Laden and his organization, if he is indeed responsible for 9/11. I'm no political mastermind but logic dictates that you handle your business first before incurring new problems.

I'm comparing Bush, one of our least popular presidents in American history, with Teddy Roosevelt, one of our MOST popular presidents in American history. Given that both presidents have rather forceful foreign policies and have no qualms about throwing their political girth around no matter what the public thinks, is Bush just really in the right place, but just in the wrong time? I'm imagining both presidents switching time periods, and Bush is doing a wonderful job while Roosevelt is getting lynched by an angry mob of American civilians. :P

Thoughts?

Liberals and democrats alike launched a mid term election campaign based on their disgust with the war in Iraq. Some even went as far as to apologize for voting to support action against Iraq. So now what? What now democrats? WHAT'S YOUR PLAN NOW THAT YOU'VE WON THE VOTE?????

"Swept into power by voters clamoring for an end to the war in Iraq, Democrats have seen their efforts falter under a reality more complicated than they found on the campaign trail. While the public is fed up with Iraq, there is little consensus over what to do." -yahoo news http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070226/ap_on_go_co/flailing_over_iraq

I hate to go to the grocery store and see people with their baskets full of steaks, chips, candy, sodas and frozen foods as pizza etc. and pay with the lonestar card. I believe they should have some type of system like WIC has. They should be allowed to purchase certain items and healthy items as well. I am a single mother and work hard to support my family.

What are some ways that congress puts limits on the president. It has to be within the 20th century. if you are really good and know a way that congress limited Teddy Roosevelt it would be AMAZING.
