Because to do something you have to take a stand. As soon as you take a stand, your stance can be attacked. Voters fall for attack ads more than substance so as soon as you try to do something, you lose your job. In a two party system, half of the people are always going to be looking to attack you. Notice how many senators stand up and make glorious speeeches about issues that polls show 90% of Americans support.

Haha, fine question! I'll tell you why, instead of common people putting up common laws, we get to choose from a bunch of rich folks who just want to get richer. The less they do, the less they care, the richer they get. It doesn't help you or me at all, but, as long as they make a REAL big show of doing nothing, they sure can seem like they're getting things done.

That doesn't make them bad people. I'm sure individually, they'd be good fun to talk to, probably nice folks. But, in a group... Well, wouldn't you rather have someone who's spent his life experiencing something hands on running the system, instead of a guy who's read about it in his manor house? Just my two cents, though.

Wish you weren't "full of it".
We have enough laws. We don't need more.
The less Congress does, the more Freedom we keep.

one reason is because the people are uneducated and don't know who they are voting for. how else could you explain hillary? there should be a test to vote. and there shouldn't be a party system that's the biggest problem.
