Has anyone got an opinion about the referendum result on the setting up of a Scottish Paliament ?
The result was (approximate figures) :-
45% - Yes
15 % - No
40% - ? - Did not turn up to vote.
55% - No's plus the "couldn't care less people".

So now we are burdened with all this extra cost and beaurocracy all housed in a £0.45 Billion Pound building.

Does anybody out there think America, as a nation, is making good choices on the international level?

With Bush gone, the guy is going to be stuck with Iraq, the whole world hatin' on us, prisoners scattered all over the world, terrorists and not together, a country bruised by the division of its leaders etc...
If he's republican and continue with Bush's work, we are going to live this nightmare forever....
If he's democrat and he's not able to clean it up, boy aren't the republicans gonna have a field day!

How come as insane a person as Bush can be the Prez?
What is the fault with the people as a whole to elect him?
What should be done to avoid persons like him in future (may be a spelling contest)?

The facts are that NONE of this Bush family (George, Laura or the Twin Females--whatever their names are) has ever been shown in the news media holding, petting, playing with or in any other acceptable manner relating to a cat or a group of cats!

(The Clintons [Arugh!] at least had Socks as you may recall, even though he, like Buddy the dog, may also have only been window-dressing for that tribe of miscreats and is now dead, the result of an "accident" after no longer being needed for a "humanization" ploy for the public's "benefit".)

In any case--since not one of the Bushes currently associated with the White House is known to have any affection for cats, it can be assumed that there is a real possibility that one or more of them hates cats and may even mistreat cats when not in the public view!

FOR EXAMPLE, for all we know George may kick cats (AW!!)--whirl them around by their tails in the air (GASP!!)--or play mean mind-games with them (BOO!!)

SO, REMOVE W--YES OR NO??

Or is it absurd that we, as people, rely on such documents to keep our god-given rights from being "taken away" in the first place?

I mean seriously, can you honestly say Bush's polices are actually his own?

You ever read one of his executive orders? The only part he had in any one of them was his little signature at the bottom.

Blame Bush? I say blame his underwriters!

Am I the only one who feels we need a much better internal auditing agency to make sure crooks and sell-outs stay out of office for good?

An agency whose primary function is policing of our own officials? An entity to make damn sure that policies enforced are really in the public's interest and not simply to help boost corporate shares?

Maybe an Office of Logic might be a better title.

Do they realise that a lot of what they are told is propaganda aimed at making them docilely accept the terrible things their government is doing for financial gain? Or do they believe it all?

Personally I'd welcome the death penalty for certain offenders. I'd happily put the noose round the neck of Ian Brady, Ian Huntley or Roy Whiting. Their crimes were inexcusable and heinous. They don't deserve to live! They've ripped families apart and the suffering of the family runs far deeper than an act of revenge. Nothing can replace not only these people's children, but also their entire lives.

I just think that she would not be so "trigger happy", women think it out and all the possible outcomes. I do not think Bush did that at all. Will you vote for a woman president if she ran? I don't mean Hillary necessarily, but some very respected and smart woman. We have a lot, but not necessarily running. We should encourage it, do you think?

Right now we are in a state of basically world war III and we have radical muslims wanting to wipe america off the face of the planet.

Why can't our unlimited vast police resources be directed to stop terrorism instead of issuing speeding tickets and imprisoning marijuana smokers?

Could it be that the police are not concerned with terrorism as much as they are with marijuana smokers.

That's because marijuana smokers are cops $$$$$$$.

Without busting innocent u.s. civilians for smoking marijuana police would probably be unemployed and have no job and be homeless or on welfare and they certainly wouldn't be concerned about terrorists while the uneducated cops slept in cardboard boxes.

The cops have to keep busting Americans for pursing their right to happiness and liberty of enjoying the american dream so the ignorant, uneducated cops can live in a nice home and have a nice car.

It's purely economics. But seriously the cops need to go after terrorists with a vengeance.
