Yes it is hypocritical, but that doesn't mean it is wrong. If a country like Iran developes nuclear weapons it will be a very bad thing for a lot of people.
The US were the only country to use them in anger but to be fair there was a bit of justification. Japan can be thankful that there wasn't a full scale invasion as a lot more civillians would have been killed. Anyway more people were killed in the Firestorm that swept through Tokyo after it was bombed than were killed in Nagasaki or Hiroshima. At the end of the day the arguement shouldn't really be about whether they should have dropped them , it's should be whether it is morally right to attack a civillian target.
There are lots of other countries and terrorist groups that currently have no issue with blowing up civillians so they are in no position to criticise.

you're speaking regarding the nuclear application in Iran. Iran money over 80% of the terrorism interior the worldwide. The terrorists have mentioned that their purpose is to get carry of nuclear weapons, smuggle those weapons into the USA and different worldwide places and detonate those weapons. If Iran had nuclear weapons they might supply them to the terrorists. For all sensible purposes Iran has declared conflict on the USA. that's no longer prudent to enable a rustic that has declared conflict on you to purchase nuclear weapons or the technologies or maybe strengthen it it that they had the means. on your training Iran is paying for nuclear weapons technologies from Pakistan and Russia because of the fact the Iranians have not been able to make your strategies up the thank you to strengthen nuclear weapons on their own.

It's not hypocritical if the rhetoric of the country seeking nuclear weapons suggest that they will use them offensively ie: Iran & N Korea.
We used them to put an end to a war against an enemy that attacked us without provocation. It was either that or lose another 500k American soldiers taking Japan city by city.

Yes, of course America, is hypocritical....but if you look at its foreign policy, it is full of hypocrisy...on all grounds. Put simply, any country that wishes to use nuclear power as an energy source, like Iran, due to the nature of the beast...so to speak, has the potential to create enriched uranium for nuclear weapons....but this applies to any nuclear process when producing electricity. The only reason I can see why America, does not want an expansion of this new energy is because ' it cannot control it ', like it does with oil.....from a global perspective.

Who you trying to fool there omar? No it's not hypocritical. Their leader has made statements about wiping Israel off of the face of the world...now how would he go about that there omar??? Oh yeah! He'd nuke 'em. They do not need nuclear power...they are filthy rich in oil. After Israel who'd be next? Oh, I dunno....maybe the USA???? Well f that idea!
Also we, the USA there omar, used the a-bombs in a defensive manner that saved many lives on both the US and Japanese sides...they were not in a hostile manner as you'd like people to believe....you can read about it in things called history books.
We are not living our lives in propaganda and fear....it's called common sense...looking at any middle easterner in the flesh (racial profiling) or as on this medium with your name sounding middle eastern, we should look at you in a different light..... if you forgot about 3,000 people were murdered by mooslims on 9/11...member that one there omar?
If there was a President in power when that happened like FDR, on 9-12-01 there would have been arab interment camps, mass deportation and a closure of out borders.
Hey remember when Iraq tried to build a nuclear reactor back in the '80's ? I can only say that I pray it happens again!
A COUNTRY BOY CAN SURVIVE!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they are. But they are not alone.
They are already 7. Or more?
They are part of a big club. Do you think that every country in the world should be allowed to develop or buy nuclear weapons?
You have already a few candidates: Iran, North Korea, Venezuela...
And some more have the means to develop it very quickly.
Don´t play the hypocritical role of good left people.

The attack on Pearl Harbor was the hostile act. Learn your history before you spout your lame " I hate America" nonsense. This was the only use of nuclear weapons, and they had it coming. And yes, we do have the right to try to prevent fanatical, terrorist countries from developing nuclear and chemical weapons. What would you suggest?? Let them carry on? What if your country is on their list of extermination?? What would you do then?? Oh, I know...come running to America for help....right?? Yes. Like everyone does. Let's see how much you hate us then. Grow up. Learn.

Churchill said "Democracy is an unsatisfactory form of government, but it's the the best we've tried so far."
I
In the middle east at present many nations do not know the meaning of the word. We look at our T.V. screens and see Dervishes, burning flags, beheading individuals, stoning women. causing death and destruction all in the name of their revered prophet. In these countries the education systems that exist are of a low calibre, many of the population live on the edge of poverty and take their guidance from Mullahs who I suspect are as ill informed as they are.
IHardly fertile ground for democracy which depends upon adult suffrage, this requires the participation of women as well as men.).
Now if an autocracy (that means the boss makes the decisions)
aquires the technology to drop and atom bomb on anyone it dislikes, then the boss is answereable to no one. In a democracy there are many safeguards in place to prevent any leader to take decisions of this nature. The U.S. is a very powerful nation but nuclear war is not on its agenda. The bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were to ensure that the fanatical Japanase leaders understood that they stood on the edge of total anihalation. Many lives were saved in the conflict ending rapidly. Remember those bombs were flea bites compared to the destructive power of nuclear bombs today..

Nice one! Yeah they are being hypocrites but the theory is that they do not intend to use them - they serve only as a deterrent. It would be naive and unrealistic to imagine that the world's greatest superpower would have no strong weapons at its disposal. Consider this - two wrongs don't make a right - just because the USA has such weapons - doesn't mean it's a good idea for everyone to have them - especially "unstable" countries

They are not asking other countries (Iran) to stop producing nuclear weapons, but to stop building nuclear power stations.
there is no evidence Iraq or Iran are/were producing nuclear wepons, so how can they stop?
It is quite likely Israel has the technology in place to build a nuclear bomb - but they are "freinds" of the US
