Am I the only one who feels we need a much better internal auditing agency to make sure crooks and sell-outs stay out of office for good?

An agency whose primary function is policing of our own officials? An entity to make damn sure that policies enforced are really in the public's interest and not simply to help boost corporate shares?

Maybe an Office of Logic might be a better title.

The hard reality is that politics and economics are extremely intertwined. For the Netherlands for example a new mortgage law urging to stop the partial finance of private mortgages with public money, will not be welcomed by many parliamentarians because they have a mortgage themselves.
Before constituting a workable and effective auditing agency institution, the reach and the goals of the working agencies should be crystal clear defined. More transparency on the other hand is also needed, but without a solid economic foundation politicians will have less more to say in the future. But a moral foundation would b very wellcome.

A better method would be to make all citizens serve, and the term limit would be 4 years. No more elections...we'd all be like jurors.

If we had an office of logic, we would only allow one term.
