Some companys take buses to texas and pick up illegals, then they house them so they can work dirt cheap. How's that helping the economy when they send there money south. How do we stop all this illegal behavior? Huh Pres.

I live in Dallas and have seen how in the last ten years how immigrants (legal and illegal) have depressed wages for unskilled americans. Aren't those the people the democrats once cared about. They have decimated the opportunities for blacks. Plus they eat up health care services for the uninsured and other social programs. Don't say they pay taxes too since studies show a family needs to make nearly $40k before they pay more in taxes than they consume in government programs. Education has been dumbed down too since it takes more money and time to teach non-english students. The new immigrants are also socially conservative. Being a gay guy I notice more evil looks from spanish speakers than from citizens. Plus they keep increasing the population growth in the US, the world's greatest per capita greenhouse polluter. Seems they hurt everything democrats stand for like narrowing the income gap, to better social services, to education, to the enviroment. So why the big support??

I'd like to create a context for my question. 1st I think it's necisary to dispell the myth that all undocumented immigrants are Mexican. though the vast majority of immigrants are LATINO, Latino's come from many different countries. I'm going to use El Salvador as an example. The first step in applying for a US visa is to request an interview at the US embassy. It costs $100 to be granted an interview with a representative at the US embassy. Merely being interviewed is no assurance of being legally admited; there are a host of other applications, requirements, and fees. The average income of a family in El Salvador is approximately $100/month. The fact is, a family making $100/month could never afford to pay for a $100 interview for each family member, much less the potential thousands of dollars needed to purchase legal immigration status. So why does US immigration policy force the vast majority of Latin Americans to immigrate illegaly?

please think seriously about the question!

Why don't we all be realistic about the true and real purpose of NATO?. Most militarily powerful countries joined to create an organization to defend each other?. Is that a cowardness or what... I meant, I have nothing against NATO, but I can't truly understand its main purpose, besides military defense.

WHAT THE HELL IS NATO FOR, and TO WHO FOR?
This is the 21st century.

With all the talk of the President I urge you to truly take a simple action and get rid of the Electorial College. Make it so that our vote really does matter. Until then it doesn't matter what age, race, religion or any other crazy difference we can pick out to make certain people better fit then others. We don't have a say until the people's votes are the only thing that matters.

From 1848 to 1978, blacks were not allowed to obtain the priesthood within the Mormon church, supposedly because they were descended from Cain and carried his curse of black skin (Moses 5:22, Pearl of Great Price). It is thought that those that had fought less valiantly during the War in Heaven between Jesus and his brother Lucifer (Satan) in the pre-existence were brought to Earth carrying the mark of Cain and were born as negroes (Mormon Doctrine, p.527, 1966 ed.). Blacks could not have the priesthood and were to be servants to the other races, according to God's commandment.

In 1978, the priesthood-ban was rescinded, but in 1997, when asked whether in retrospect the church had been wrong about the policy, the prophet answered "No, I don't think it was wrong. It, things, various things happened in different periods. There's a reason for them." (Australian TV Program COMPASS, Aust. Broadcasting Company, Nov. 9, 1997)

Should this be viewed as sacred beliefs or as racial bigotry?

i got a ticket for going 59 mpf in a 40 mph zone. My actual speed according to the officer was really 69, but he told me that he was going to write 59 on the ticket, and that if i chose to go to court, he would tell the judge my real speed. ( 69). he did also write 69 mph on the ticket too, on the side i dont know what that was about tho.

Anyways, what I am going to say in court is that ther is no way that that speed is the speed of my vehicle because there was another vehicle that was between my vehicle and the police officer's the whole time that he couldve gotten my speed. And im going to bring my friend to court with me, and im going to point at him when i say this to the jusdge to say that He was the driver that was between me and the officer. and that the speed shown on the ticket was not my speed but the other driver's. What do you think, you think this is a good case and I will win or what? good idea right?
