IQ measures general aptitude for intelligence, not specific knowledge or competency in any field. It takes a very specific kind of person to lead a nation, and there are things that can only be learned through experience. Who knows, his 180 IQ may be better suited for science or the arts. That's an absolutely ridiculous idea. And just because he (the hypothetical hyperintelligent child) has a high IQ doesn't mean he'd rather worry about Iran's nukes than play with an erector set.

I can see it now:

"Can you put the Prime Minister on hold? My G.I. Joes are about to take over the Lincoln Bedroom. And if he's gonna blab on about Korea again, I'm gonna need another juice box and maybe a nap."

Because there are certain requirements for a person to become the United States president:

Article Two of the Constitution sets the qualifications required to become president. Presidents must be:

natural-born citizens of the United States
at least thirty-five years old
must have been resident in the United States for at least fourteen years

And what kind of nation would we be if we let a 6-year old child run our country. Think seriously.

Our for fathers felt that 35 years of age would be old enough for a President. The same also applies to the Senate. I know I wouldn't be very comfortable with a 20 year old President having control of the free world

1st, it would require changing the constitution which is not done on a whim as it should not be. general rule, do not fix that which is not broken.

2nd, the assumption is that the higher iq would equal greater success.

3rd, assuming his high iq could be used to grown the economy 200% does not mean it is a good idea to do so.

... because The Constitution dictates that The President must be at least 35 years old.

This is set forth in Article 2, Section 1 of the US Constitution.

There's no way a 6 year old could have the life experiences or social aptitude to manage an entire country. Other countries would not respect decisions made by a child no matter how supported they might be.

And who would vote for a child?

Because he would be smarter than most Presidents by far. :o)

Seriously though, IQ has little to do with education and political experience. And it is against the Constitution, which states a minimum age of 35.

Because a 6 year old does not posess good judgement. If he did, then I could have gotten my drivers license when I was 6.

Only a 6-year old would think that.

Someone who doesn't understand economics and the limited role the President actually has.

Because he's 6.

I'm sorry to have to answer so bluntly, I'm just assuming by this ridiculous question that your IQ doesn't also happen to be 180.
