Fascism involves authoritative activities like oppression of it's entire population. The United States has not done this. An Empire is a large government which rules several countries under the direction of a supreme ruler. (ie. emperor) This does not describe the United States either. My guess is that the U.S. has not become a fascist empire. For those of you who think it has become this, you are welcome to leave. Really! You have the FREEDOM to go wherever you please! Also this very question could never have been asked by a German citizen during the Nazi regime. So stop complaining and start thanking those who sacrificed to keep freedom in our blessed country.

Thankfully there are still some teeth left in the constitution so despite certain efforts, democracy stumbles on.

Not yet, but more and more each day.

Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, statism, militarism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, corporatism, populism, collectivism, and opposition to political and economic liberalism.
