I was told after completing all of my work successfully that the owner of the subcontractor company had to hold on to my money for 60 days to make sure all my work cleared. It has now been 85 days and he refuses to pay me. He is in another state and the labor board cant do anything. What are my options? He had done this to 5 or more people. Can we file a class action suit against him or his company?

Border patrol officers Ramos and Compean are serving 11 and 12 years, respectively, after being convicted of assault, obstruction of justice and civil rights violations related to the wounding of Mexican drug-smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila. On Feb. 17, 2005, the agents chased Davila near the U.S.-Mexican border outside of El Paso, Texas, after Davila abandoned a van containing 743 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of more than $1 million.

Prosecutors claimed the agents had violated Border Patrol policy when they pursued Davila without supervisor approval, that Compean moved shell casings, and that both did not properly report the shots fired. Testifying against Ramos and Compean, under the veil of immunity from prosecution for his actions on the night in question, was none other than Davila himself.

These two candidates are the best each side has but they get little attention on YA or in the MSM. They both are straight talkers not poll driven so why haven't they caught on more

, but generally, if there is such a thing, if my ex husband and I share joint custody... legal and physical... wouldn't there be a problem...legally speaking.... should one of us file a lawsuit on behalf of our (minor) daughter without informing the other.

suit has reached settlement and disbursed a considerably.

It's important to me that this money is held/invested solely for the benefit of my daughter -- I'm thinking this may not be the case.

my question is...typically, in a joint custody situation... can one file a lawsuit such as this without informing the other parent?

Recently the Conservative-Republican party has lost its place in American politics. Now we see administration running up deficits, starting wars and bald face lying to the people.

What ever happened to limited government?

What ever happened to cutting departments, reducing spending and taxes like Reagan did?

What ever happened to the honesty Lincoln held?

What ever happened to the vision of the founding fathers (very conservative by today's definitions) of liberty, both personally and economically?

I supported the Democrats in 2006. The war, I realized, has done more harm than good. A million innocent Iraqis - dead.

I feel betrayed by the Democratic party. They have done nothing - no bills, not even discussions - for ending our invasion overseas.

What ever happened to Conservatism?

Does anyone know why the police did this? This is the story below:

The Madison Police Department is under criticism after an unarmed man was tasered in a crowded mall.

On Monday, officers responded to West Towne Mall for a call of a man with a gun, and the 44-year-old fit the description.

The police sergeant says officers tried to get information from him first, but the man refused to cooperate.

One stun-gun probe hit the man and the other hit his wife. Relatives say the family is now considering a lawsuit.

One Christmas Day, after a large dinner, seven women folk decided to take a walk as the sun was setting over the very nice neighborhood in the countryside of the state.

Four of them walked quickly leaving three lagging far behind. The three that were lagging, Maggie, Jill and Brinny were talking intensely about social concerns when Jill noted a huge someone in a Gingerbread man costume standing at the end of a driveway of one of her neighbors who did not seem to be home.

Standing next to a flamingo mailbox, the Gingerbread man seemed to be just waiting there. The big cookie noticed the three women and began walking towards them on the opposite side of the street.

Brinny and Jill became fearful while Maggie remained unaware of the cookie’s presence, and she kept talking about her job. When she finally noticed the big cookie she said hi.

The cookie waved, but said nothing as it walked on by. Maggie turned to look at the cookie and saw it turning to look at them. She turned back, then turned again and saw it has also turned. A third time she turned and saw it too turned to look at them and then the gingerbread man ran to their side of the street, into someone else’s yard and behind that house.

Brinny was the first to notice the cookie running from behind one house to another. “That cookie looks like it is playing with itself,” she stated.

“I think it has a butcher’s knife.” Jill answered.

Maggie’s eye brows furrowed with doubt stating, “How can you confuse having his hand in his pants with a butcher’s knife?”

All three laughed, then suddenly the cookie ran at them jumping onto the road and running very fast in front of them and out of sight.

Dogs barked up ahead and the woman walking the dogs stated her dogs became very apprehensive when he approached.

Jill ran ahead to see where the cookie was going while she called the police on her cell phone.

Brinny ran to catch up to her, leaving Maggie alone on the road while she was calling her son to bring the car and come get them.

Soon Brinny and Jill came walking back, having lost the cookie and unaware the cookie was walking behind them. As they neared Maggie, she indicated it was behind them.

A silver car stopped by the cookie and the cookie leaned into the window, then the car turned onto the road where the house with the flamingo mailbox was.
The police drove by, passing that road where the gingerbread man was now talking again to the man in the silver car.

Maggie’s son arrived and the women jumped into the car and drove towards the police to tell them what they saw.

The officer stated this call will certainly top most other memorable calls. He did continue on to look for the cookie as another police car arrived in the area.

Do you think the Gingerbread man was acting strange and possibly up to something bad?
If so what do you think was happening or going to happen?

...from the government, from charity, etc? This is not a hateful question. I am just wondering why there is SO MUCH help (free stuff, giveaways, handouts) for the poor but it is extremely difficult for those who are 'barely making it' to get the help that they need. There are a group of people who work everyday, pay bills and are just stuck- yet they don't quite qualify for handouts and things like that.

But then you have some poor people who are very picky about the jobs that they will work, they refuse to be proactive in their situation (knowing that by doing nothing, they will have anything handed to them).

Why does the general public continue to support programs that are so counterproductive? Rewarding laziness will get us nowhere.
