Apparently you can. Brian "All American" Stann is an active duty marine and is considered a professional fighter with the WEC. He has appeared on a few televised events for the WEC while still being an active soldier.

Unless you have specific permission then no. Also, technically, under the UCMJ you could be charged with destruction of Government Property if you were to seriously injure yourself during a match. And instead of getting a medical discharge you'll get a General. So think real hard before you do anything and go talk with a local Judge Advocate if you're already in. If you're not then its time for you to make a real hard decision.

Id say no, but there Army combatives competitions all the time, but the level of competition is not what id be if you were professional fighter. Ive done a couple, they are fun, but not the same as getting paid for a fight but i still love the army.

Well It's probably better that you choose one or the other. The military will take you away from everything that you know at times. So when you really need to train hard for your next fight you are out training for war. If you are not already there.

check with your OIC's first sargent. they might have a policy
that allows you to be excused from your daily duty for a temporary leave of absence.
But there's no way you can train to the fullest level of a pro and be available to do your duty.

Here in korea they actually have boxing and martial arts tournaments and specially for soldiers. they just had the annual army airforce boxing tournamnet. Go reserve.

not at the same time, no. your military duties will ALWAYS take precedence over your MA training and tourneys.
