/ John McCain has an EASY (not hard) time working with other politicians, and the country would move forward quickly.
He is the only one with experience to get a military exit strategy that works.
Sen. McCain is the only candidate who can work "across the aisle" meaning Dem's and Rep's. working together (which he has done many times).
Sen. John Kerry, Presidential Candidate running against Bush, asked Sen. McCain FIRST to be his Vice President, BEFORE he chose John Edwards.
Sen. McCain and Sen. Kennedy (Staunch Democrat) have both introduced legislation together.
Sen. Joe Lieberman (Democrat) endorses Sen. McCain for President.
Having Sen. McCain as President would bring both parties together, and not divide the Democrats from the Republicans.
As a Democrat, I hope Sen. McCain wins the election.

Of all the Republicans, he would get my vote.
A war vet who says NO TO TORTURE. No matter what the big wigs in the GOP and President say. Torture is wrong. He is the one GOP candidate that I know will not sell my personal liberties to the guise of security. Because he has lived it. He has been tortured. And, when John McCain tells you it doesn't work, it doesn't work. I think he would be a great Attorney General for a President from either party. He would stand up for the Constitution, even in time of peril.
I pretty much hate his politics and flip-flopping on every other issue though. But, hey, he beats Guiliani. Guiliani is Clinton x10. He couldn't even sleep in the NYC Mayor's Mansion because he was too busy banging his WHORE. His wife - that he was still married to - had to take out a restraining order to keep the new skank out of her residence... SCUM BAG...

I would. He's a good guy. He does not get the same amount of national coverage as many of his opponents, but he has the experience and he knows what he's talking about. I think he would be a good Republican candidate for president because he is able to discuss and work with Democrats, unlike some Republicans. I really don't understand why Rudy Giulianni receives so much more publicity when he has so little experience.

Would definitely vote for John McCain. He is what this country needs, tough love. Even though it may hurt his chances of winning he will tell it like it is. Over the years I have seen both parties become more extreme, "conservative" Republicans and "liberal" Democrats. John McCain would appeal to people from both parties who are more moderate and also to the independents.

I have voted for Republican Presidential candidates since Gerald Ford ran against Carter.
If McCain wins the GOP nomination, I will vote for the Libertarian candidate.
He co-authored the McCain-Feingold Act which has denied First Amendment Rights to opponents of incumbents. I consider it to be the most blatantly unconstitutional piece of legislation to be enacted since the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1800.
No way would I vote for that man in any election!!!! I'd rather see an open Communist like Clinton, or a socialist stooge like Obama elected before I'd vote for McCain!

Yes as would a lot of independents. He does work well with other politicians of both parties. This is why the radical right wing doesn't like him. They are afraid he is not loyal enough but instead loves his country more than the republican party.

Although his personal life thoroughly disgusts me (second marriage, unbalanced age gap relationship), he is by far, the least despicable of the Republican candidates. He doesn't seem to be a religious fanatic. And he knows the horrors of war. But I am praying on hands and knees that the most intelligent candidate (Hillary Clinton) takes this race, even though she has significant flaws. This country needs a brainy leader to wade through this swamp we find ourselves in now. We have let ordinary minds take control of our political and corporate systems, and we are paying a heavy price for their stupidity.

No, I won't vote for John McCain. They all have experience and knowledge (all candidates).I WILL vote for Barack Obama, though. Not only is he highly intelligent and experienced as the rest but he's black which makes him more likely to be a great leader. (i.e Martin Luther King Jr, Malcom X, Honorable Elijah Mohammed...etc)...well, Malcom X and Elijah Mohammed were kinda racists in the beginning of their careers but atleast Malcom wasn't a racist before he died.

Maybe, depends on the opponents. He is a very principled person. I think his biggest problem is his age.
