Oklahoma. We are both Navy (it wasn't A school love, we have been together for four year) He is active and I am full time support or active reserve or whatever you want to call it. Well, today I just found out that there is no way in hell I am going to be stationed anywhere near him for our entire 6 year enlistment. Yay! :::sarcasm sarcasm::: I went and tried to switch to active but that was a no go...so for those of u that are military and married to military and stationed nowhere near your family...how do you deal with it? Right now it feels like someone is asking me to go 6 years without oxygen. I've been trying to think of a way out all day but that isnt really an option, the only way I can figure to do that is get pregnanat and I am pretty sure he would kill me if I did that on purpose. So please give me an idea or help me out with how to handle this. I feel like I'm dying right now.

Tancredo...the anti-immigration Republican is in last place. Could it be that most Americans don't care about Immigration the way you think they do?
Will you throw a tantrum when the Democrats win?

I was told this regulation exists that says soldiers cannot speak anything but english around other soldiers, and I have tried finding it, but can't seem to. I'm not entirely sure which regulation to check, I assumed Customs and Courtesies.

I like his message but have no desire to vote for republicans anymore, haven't for years, don't like Democrats either, I'd like someone with a good message and a new party, even Independent party would be good.

What I am getting at is this: If you feel that certain Americans are supporting what you call communist or socialist policies, if those people are in the majority and democratically elect leaders with similar views will you continue to sing the praises of democracy?

Or will you take a view more like Henry Kissinger when he said this: "I don't see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its own people. The issues are much too important for ....voters to be left to decide for themselves." What action would you advocate?

Looking for mature answers from either side of the fence.

President Bush spoke out about the woman raped in the Middle East who was the victim but sentenced to jail and lashings. The King of Egypt then pardoned her.

A woman from America was raped by empoyees of Hallibruton and can't get anyone to do anything. Because they are contracting in Iraq the law doesn't apply to these rapists for some reason. Why isn't President Bush coming to her aid like he did the woman in the Middle East?

This woman from the United States and was doing work in Iraq, was raped by several Halliburton employees and no one cares.

Not one word of help or condemnation from President Bush!

Why didn't he call attention to the rape case of the American woman? Because he didn't want to draw more negative attention to his Contracting company and his war machine?

I got a speeding ticket on November 26, 2007. I was going 83 on a 65mph zone. California Highway Patrol gave me a speeding ticket along with the court appearance date (within 30 days) and location. I called the superior court and they said my ticket is still not in the system and I'm almost due in court. They told me the officer might have sent it to the wrong county, so I called the other county and they said they don't have this citation in their system. The clerk told me that if the officer doesn't turn it in within 90 days, my ticket is dismissed. But he said I should keep checking on it or I will get a failure to appear. Is there another way to pay this fine because I do not want to keep checking for 90 days, I have to go on a trip next week.

This is the first scenario: Say, that Iraq was just as powerful a country as the US but Islamic extremists still resided there and it was a dictatorship under the rule of Saddam Hussein. Say some crazy British extremists went into Iraq and killed millions of Iraqis. Iraq invades Britain. Then, since we, the US have nuclear weapons and different values Iraq invaded our country. Does Iraq invading the U.S. make sense?
Second scenario: Using the same set up where Iraq and the U.S. are equal powers and Iraq is a dictatorship, say a few crazy American extremists go into Iraq and kill millions of people. Iraq wages war on the U.S., killing loved ones, bombing our cities and houses . Food is scarce, water and electricity are shut down. If you were in this situation, wouldn't you fight back? Wouldn't you be angry even if you lived in a bad neighborhood and your life was like a war already? We call angry Iraqis terrorists, but they are just trying to protect themselves?

Just another viewpoint

If a common currency is such a great thing why didn't the EU just adopt the US Dollar?

Would have saved a fortune on having an european central bank etc.

Sister goes to her older brother's house in the middle of the night, badly bruised after being beaten by abusive husband. This is not the first time this happens.

Older brother sees battered sister... is fed up with abusive husband.

Sister begs older brother not to go confront abusive husband and continues to make excuses for him.

Older brother takes his shotgun, and drives to abusive husband's house anyway. Older brother shoots abusive husband to death, freeing his sister once and for all...

This is not legally justified, but what are your thoughts about the ethics behind the matter? Is the older brother justified in his actions?

I just read an article which stated that the USS Ronald Reagan sea vessel costs 2.5 milllion per day to operate. Why does this sea vessel and all others cost such a staggering amount of money per day to operate? Why exactly does it cost this much money to operate? Thanks very much!
