I thought he was a conservative.

I suspect so many don't like him because they know nominating him hands the election to the Democrats on a silver platter. They'll lose almost every Independent vote out there and some Republican votes as well. There are too many Americans who believe in the concept of the separation of church and state, and Huckabee may SAY he's separating them, but his campaign commercials and new slogan say something far different. A Baptist preacher who doesn't believe in evolution and is so clueless that he thought HIV infected people should be quarantined in 1992? Not even happening.

There's nothing conservative about Huckabee's record of raising taxes in Arkansas.

My problem is that he is NOT separating church and state. I have no problems with someone being Religious, I kind of prefer it actually. But when you are using your Religion for votes to become President, that's crossing the line to a lot of people. Have you seen his latest commercial?

4. Energy policy, I want more drilling more nukes and more refineries along with alternative source energy.
5. I don't like his I am holy and your are not attitude.
6. Mormons believe in God and Baptists believe in God and I am fine with that.

Please reference the cons you speak of.
Or are you confused between critical and inquisitive in our need for information about a candidate.

And you thought right, he is a conservative.

Because Conservatives wanted religious right support, not religious right candidates.

Don't understand it myself. You'd think he'd be right up their alley. I find him quite right wing and he got religion to folks.
