LOL not true about nuclear power in fact quite opposite

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_power_phase-out_in_Sweden

"Sweden currently has a policy of phasing out nuclear power by 2010. In spite of extensive efforts to create alternatives to nuclear power, such as fossil fuels, it is not likely that Sweden can complete the nuclear power phase-out by this date. It has been estimated that nuclear power plants in operation will stay in operation until 2050."

Of course. Kyoto isn't a negative factor for economic growth, like the right-wing and the oil companies claim. and Sweden ha sproved.

Oil and coal are 19th century technology--and using them is SLOWING economic growth, not sustaining it. Evenif there were no environmental problems, we need to scrap what is simply obsolute methods and shift to modern and effecient energy production and technology.

Of course we all know that. The Kyoto treaty doesn't affect the jobs, the nation, etc. It's all fear tactics used by the Repubes to control their subjects into submission and to fight against a good cause, which is global warming.

Swedish Chemical Production: none
United States Chemical Production:#1 in the world
Swedish Commute:average is less than 2 miles
United States Average commute: greater than 8 miles
Swedish land mass in relation to U.S.1/40th
Swedish GDP in relation to U.S.>1/100th

to put it in perspective:i can reduce my homes carbon footprint by 100% as compared to yesterday;all I have to do is turn off all of the utilities to the house. Is it feasible and sustainable?of course not.

we need real solutions to fit our problems, not a Swedish problem.

It's Sweden. Besides making a few thousand Saabs and Volvos, what would they do to emit CO2 anyway? It's not like Swedish porn was a big CO2 producer.
