Patrick,that is not true. Iran had a moderate president,they even helped overthrow the Taliban. After the axis of evil speech they felt the need to elect a hardline conservative.

Iran will not withdraw from the NPT due to rhetoric, If it is attacked all bets are off, the only thing that can be predicted is that Ahmadinejad will become a very popular leader.

No change. It doesn't really matter who the President is. The Ayatollahs control Iran and Amadwackjob. The President of Iran's regime since the Shah has just been a figure head. They do what ever the Ayatollahs say so it really doesn't matter who the supposed President is. I wish President Carter had a pair and we wouldn't have the problems he created in the middle east a long time ago.

If they withdraw then they will be attacked. The only reason to withdraw is the desire for nuclear weapons.

If we bomb them it really doesn't really matter. They will be set back at least 10 years and if we can't solve it in those ten years they get it again!
