I am working on a story where a legal secretary is given the opportunity to actually cross examine a witness while the attorney for the defense--her boss--is indisposed. If she is an established member of the defense team would it be considered possible to do that?

Hey, I was summoned for jurry duty. I had to call in last night for the recording. I was told Group NO. 4 numbers 1-180 had to report. I am in Group NO. 4 number 439. They told me to call back today after 5PM which I did. The recording now says Jurors 1-180 are excused for wensday and they have served there time etc. It does not say anything about 181-600 (or whatever the last number) do I have to go in torrmow? and what time would I go in? 15 years ago i made 5;10 an hour had my own apartment, and financed a used truck. This is impossible now. Rent has doubled, energy costs have doubled, food had doubled and the kids are making 6 bucks an hour.

The poor are struggling more than i have ever seen in my adult lifetime? Small local business have died and nice new corporate stores have taken over paying people minimal with minimal benefits. am i alone in this perception

I have noticed that the Democratic Party is the party of the Rich and Upper Class. After all, Hollywood Actorrs are Rich and most support Democrats and the Democratic Party rely heavily on the Rich for donations. So why is the Democratic Party so passionate about helping the Rich and Upper Class?

Can being poor really be held against me if the other parent is the one who could change that with child support?

I work and already raising one child with no father, period.
Granted my job is short 2.5 hours of forty every week, but i am always picking up his slack and actually rearing his child.

My licence was currently taken away from a judge and I won't get it back untill february 28th. He took it away because I got charged with possesion of paraphernalia (class B misdemeanor). I am a minor, but here's the question. He took it away from me, but my actual licence isn't revoked or suspended. My atorney is actually setting up a meeting because he said he can present letters of how important that it is to drive, like work and school and stuff like that (I have 4) and my negative drug test that I have. But, the question is, if it's not suspended with the BMV, what's to stop me form just going to get another one?

I have an In-home daycare and I was watching two kids for afew months. The state was paying for most of the childcare and the mother was to pay the remaining balance, well she took off without paying her bill. With late fees the bill is $2,800. She offered to pay $30 a month. It would take her over 7 years to pay the bill off. Do I have to settle for that or can I take her to small claims so I can get it done and over with and not have to wait 7 years?

but the american citizen tax payers pay for the health care of illegals and other social services for illegals plus the education of their children. And even college financial aid and scholarships, which are harder to get these days than before, are available to the children of illegal aliens...instead of going to the children of american citizen/tax payers as they should.

I heard that some corporations even give their illegal alien employers brochures telling them how to take advantage of free health care that is supposed to be a social safety net for american citizens down on their luck.

Is that about right?

I have studied kungfu or wushu since I was a child. I have progressed to black belt since then.

Anyway, when I was in New York City a couple months ago, I was walking late at night by myself. I was traveling through an alley because it was the shortest way to visit my grandmother. A mugger tried to take my purse. He had a knife.

First thing I did was grab his wrist and break it. He dropped the knife and cried out. Then, I back-handed him and continued to punch him. I was so angry that this would happen to me, I almost couldn't stop. I think back kicked him onto the side of a dumpster. He had blood on his face after I was done.

Do you think I went too overboard? Any experiences with mugging and how did you handle it?

I got out in 2006 honorably discharged, two tours in Iraq. No scratches on me whatsoever (maybe a few) but nothing is wrong with me. I have a friend who says I still can get medical insurance and coverage through the VA. Whats the truth, cause when I got out the NCO's told me i was caught off?
