As I said to the liberals, patriotism means loving your country for what it is. Wanting to change it is not love, it's control.

They don't exist. They hate America more than anyone. It's just like all the Republican homophobes that turn out to be gay. The people that scream loudest about patriotism are the ones who want to destroy America as well as our freedom. Many of those traitors responded to this question.

I'd have to give the same answer I did last time. America and the government are separate entities separated in time. Yes, I could name a conservative who loves America.

Liberal--JFK
Conservative--Nixon (I can't believe I just wrote that but, I think deep down he did)

The founding fathers were considered liberal in their time, but in today's comparison they were strict conservatives. You said a single one - George Washington.

As for someone around today there are plenty. Hannity comes to mind as a true conservative that wants what is best for America - first and foremost.

Sorry ,, control freak here. I love my truck too but I'll be damned if i don't try to control it's direction.

Apathy is not love. Love has expectation and demands. The Hippies are dead because they had to face reality as you will.

So by your very unique definition of "love for your country" did FDR hate america because he wanted to save it and capitalism from the great depression?

I know Charlie Rangel, John Kerry, Wesley Clark, Max Cleland, John Glenn, & John Murtha are true patriots because they served in the US military and faced combat.
