I have always been a conservative, though I don't support our current administration. I have noticed that conservatives constantly call liberals' patriotism into question. I do not see liberals accusing conservatives of being unpatriotic nearly as much. Do I have to support a war that is, in my opinion, unjust and support a president I believe to be unfit in order to be a conservative? Must I blindly follow any leader who is conservative? Does it not make better sense to try to understand both sides than to paint everyone who is against the war as anti-American? I still strongly disagree with the vast majority of liberal ideals, but I don't believe liberals to be evil, nor do I think they support their country's enemies. Watch how opposing politicians interact. Most seem to be friendly, if not down-right chummy with their adversaries. Do you think this is disingenuous or do they simply learn to leave their jobs at the office?
