TreeFrog - go and boil your head. Ever heard of words like freight, sleight, feint or sleigh?

Why do less and less people believe in honesty? Is that really true? For me, the internet has opened up a whole new world where disloyalty and dishonesty is exposed ruthlessly. Some regimes will try to suppress it. Others welcome it. I make most of my money putting key-loggers and checks on company's computers so they can check if their employees are being loyal and honest.

ummm...it's a lot easier to lie your way out of a tight situation than having to accept the truth and its consequences. As for your second question of how we can change the world so we become more honest, well that is a pretty broad statement and pretty hard to change. All I can say is if you want the world to become more honest, start by changing yourself (I'm pretty sure you've probably told a lie before)..yer..you can't change the world, but you can always change yourself!!!

Honesty is a taught trait as is dishonesty.
We are born survivors and often in life we believe honesty is not the best policy in many circumstances.
But you will know that yourself as I can categorically point out that you have lied! By the mere fact that you are a human being!

Because they have lost their way. They look around at how many people have got away with dishonesty and think its the most lucrative way to go.

Man, I would love to know the answer to this one.

It is like people are still 9 years old still trying to get away with crap on their parents. Is it just immaturity?? I don't think so, as I see this in 30+ olds.

It life just a big joke to these people?? You get what you put out there, I believe, and I do my best to align with those who are good hearted. We are out there, but just have to sift through the garbage to find......

Abolish Sunday school.

That's the first place I remember being told the most fabulous whoppers with great insistence that there shouldn't be any questioning of the, clearly, untrue statements. Religious teaching is core to the idea that you should expect to get away with lying as a matter of course.

Loaves and fishes! Rubbish. It never happened.

Children learn from their older people that

if you cheat at cards, business or sex you

do better than those who don't cheat,

They do not see it as right or wrong.

It is up to us who know what is right and

wrong to set an example so that children

will not learn that wrong is right.

the word is deception

and, in an anonymous environment like the internet, anyone can be anything they want.

In your deepest fantasies, you may want to be slim, 22 years old, rich and beautiful.... That is basic human nature

well, here you can be - or at least pretend to be.

I doubt that you - or anyone else - can change it.
