WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. homeowners who could face crippling mortgage payments will have a hard time getting help if they call a telephone number President George W. Bush recommended on Thursday -- he gave them the wrong number.

Does anyone remember when a White House Official gave the wrong website on live TV. He said whitehouse.com instead of whitehouse.gov

Whitehouse.com is a porn site.

I was online that day and went to the .com website, within minutes it was beseiged with visits and went into overload and was not accesible.

On live TV (I was watching CNN) they made the announcement and apologized shortly after.

Does Bush's error surprise you?

some people make mistakes, some people make more mistakes, some people make BIG mistakes !!! here is an old joke,I found in my in box,for you........Geoge W. Bush's brain scan

Geoge W. Bush went to see the doctor to get the results of
his brain scan. The doctor said: "Mr. President,
I have some bad news for you. First, we have discovered that
your brain has two sides: the left and the right side."
Bush interrupted, "Well, that's normal, isn't
it? I thought everybody had two sides
to their brain." The doctor replied, "That's
true, Mr. President. But your brain is very unusual because
on the left side there isn't anything right, while on the
right side there isn't anything left."

Let's not bash Bush for such an insignificant error.
Considering all the major mistakes he's made, this is trivial and inconsequential.
Save your Bush-bashing for the 'biggies'. There are plenty of 'em!! -RKO- 12/08/07

I am sure it's easy to make those mistakes. His advisors must share some of the blame. It's easy to make subtle errors like that. Excuse me, while I check out that other site. I have to make sure your information is correct!!!!!

Jesus rightfully said; "Let the one among you without sin cast the first stone".
If lib's remembered that quote, this President would enjoy a whole lot more respect and his approval ratings would soar!!

Whatever Bush's mistakes are, he never surprises me. Like the war, stolen votes, failed immigration policies, etc.

if this type of error brings that much angst to you, i feel you have more and deeper issues than who is president currently. god forbid, should YOU make a mistake, if you catch the meaning. to answer your question, no it doesnt suprise me...its called being human, and i think a dose of reality is precisely what most liberal extremists need.
