13 yr old ?ed by police w/out parents present or an adult other than police. Teen busted w/ mariajuana at school and questioned repeatedely. Teen asked for parent and officer says"too bad there isnt one available". And continues to "get in her face". IS THIS LEAGAL? We are in the State of Arizona

No. But if they are not filing charges, I wouldn't make a big deal over it.

If they are filing charges, then your attorney needs to file a motion to suppress.

Depends....despite some of the answers given, in some states, it is perfectly legal to for the police to question a minor without a parent present. It's very simple folks, if your teenager is about to be questioned by a police officer, tell them not to ask for a parent, tell them to ask for a LAWYER.

it's not legal in illinois. especially if the kid said he wanted his folks. contact the commanding officer at the p.d.
