Because along with their "authority" these community college graduates also have a greater responsability to obey the law. Shouldn't those who are so quick to oppress be held to a higher standard, shouldn't they have some absolute understanding of the law?

More US dollars are lost to corruption in Iraq than to Welfare and Medicare fraud COMBINED

Iraq was just rated the third most corrupt country in the world, which begs the question — why are we still pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into its failed and corrupt government?

My father in law gave me a hand gun to protect my family against any potential intruders in my home and I would like to know what is the BEST way to store it but yet keep it loaded and ready to go in case someone ever breaks into my home? I have a 3 yr old in my home so I need to be really safe about it.
Thank you.

Just a rhetorical question does Hilary really have a "green" thumb? I mean we have her going about her garden and planting questions in the republican debate and now we have a very suspicious "bomb" plant in her campaign office. Is she really such a good horoculturist?

First, let me start with that yes I am a Vet. 7 years active Army 11B Infantry. I ETSed in '03.
Second, I'm new to this forum and am seeing a large number of either active or veteran service members who vehemently support the war in Iraq. How and why?

I don't understand how there can be this much support for a war that has been sold to us under false pretenses from the beginning.

I lost two friends in Iraq, and don't understand how there can be support for a war that was never and is still not necessary. Yet, we continue to fight a war that is un-winable and everyday more good people die.

I understand loyalty, duty and selfless-service, but I also know that you are supposed to question orders when they are illegal. If someone could help me look at this from another point of view it would be appreciated.

During the "swiftboating" part of their battle for the White House, the Kerry's made a number of "quick" comments which eventually became their demise.

One such comment came from Theresa about Laura Bush (which you can read in my previous question) and the other was a comment from John Kerry about Bush's use of ignorance to promote his agenda with the troops.

By the time the comment reached full circulation in the media, Kerry was accused of calling soldiers "dumb".

Does anyone remember the exact quote?

talk about it when it might make him look bad? For example, he doesn't want to talk about what he thinks about Mormons. He wouldn't say what would Jesus do on capital punishment, etc, etc.

He said in the last Hard Ball show that he would not let his religion get in the way of executing the law, waging war, supporting the death penalty, following abortion laws, etc, etc. He said he will execute the laws, even when he doesn't agree with them.

If he's not going to let religion affect his duties, why even bring it up?

What are we about to inherit when we pick up Iraq? What is the aftermath? Will this country come apart at the seams? Afterwards, do we inherit this country? Is this a Kosovo, a Bosnia, a Somalia? Is this a bag of worms that we are going to pay for in the commitment of our military and out of our treasury? In the gulf war, 80 percent of the burden, the cost of the war, was picked up by others. Are they out there right now, ready to pay for 80 percent of this war? Are there coalitions ready to commit troops, to fight and die by our side for this cause? If not, why not? Can our economy stand this? Can our military stand this? Are you ready to pay $5 for a gallon of gas at the gas pump and not complain? Is the risk that great?

I have been called for Jury duty, but I booked a trip two months ago at a Disney Resort and the day I report for jury duty is the same day I will be on vacation. My vacation would be 4 days long, and it is in two weeks. I got a call for jury duty in the mail today, is there anyway I can get out of it?

Bin Laden and Al Qaeda are direct creations of western intelligence as we have thoroughly documented. Al Qaeda itself was a joint CIA/ISI intelligence database of mujahudeen fighters they had recruited in the late 70s and eighties to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.

ISI is deeply involved with such CIA activities. Bin Laden even had an ISI Running Officer, who also worked closely with the Taliban in Afghanistan who were heavily sponsored by ISI operatives before 9/11.

The head of the ISI at the time, General Mahmoud Ahmad was, according to the FBI and as confirmed by various news reports at the time, a principle financier of the 19 alleged 9/11 hijackers.

We were contacted by an individual claiming to have a puppy she wants to find a home for in west africa. She claims to be a missionary and can't keep the puppy. We received a picture of the puppy, and she says she will send all papers, etc. if we pay for shipping. It is supposedly 250.00. 200.00 to ship and fifty to have the puppy checked on in transit. All she wants is a good home and is asking nothing else. She has used a yahoo and a hotmail address. I am really suspicious of this and when I contacted an airline about shipping, she said it sounded like a scam. She said there are alot of scams coming from africa. please find out if this is legitimate.

The known flip-flopper is going to give a big speech titled "faith in America". It promises to be a big yawn. Leave it to a flip-flopping politician to MAKE such a speech.

Dont waste your life on it just read my review:
-On Mitt Romney's speech about faith in America. He said nothing but I bunch of tired. worn-out cliches that patronizes potential voters. Rather disingenous.

Anything else to be said about this trailing GOP contender?

I recently purchased a 38 revolver for protection. During a wave of armed robberies near my business, I went to the gun store and asked for a reliable piece that I could use in a pinch. I heard, as I always have, that you need a revolver, semi autos will jam up on you. Are they really that bad? Are there semis that I can count on like a revolver? I've had glock in mind, what should I ask to see next time I go back?

My neighbor across the street has this annoying thing that both she and her daughter does when they want to back into their driveway - they always pull into our driveway in order to back into their's. Now, that wouldn't be a problem if they didn't act they were going to hit whomever's car is the driveway at the time (my mother's, father's, mine, or even sometimes when we have company over, their car too). The reason she does this a story for a different day, but let's just say the police were involved. That being said, how can I stop her from doing this? I'd like to walk over there and tell her to grow up, but I'm sure that would just lead to more problems.

My boss is a penny pinching clueless fool who is too tight to employ a cleaner.
His most recent idea is that the staff must clean our communal common room- IN OUR OWN TIME! (not in work time)

It is a large room and it would take over half an hour.
He has said that whoever does not will not be able to use the room.
Surely he cannot lawfully ask us to work for free, and then punish us if we don't agree???
Anyone?

he had an honest job, that it would have made him a better President.

I am talking about a job that he actually applied for and got on his own merits, not family name. One in which he worked at least 8 hours a day and earned a salary reflective of the work he did.
