As you get older you do become more set in your ways and a little more conservative. Its an age thing. 32 is still a little young. I would think its in your 50's but certainly will vary from person to person.

I agree with a previous poster. I am 31, and was very liberal all through my 20s, I still hold some liberal views, but now that I am making a great income, and have major investments, and am paying a lions share of taxes, I am starting to become more, and more conservative.

You cannot stop an ideology with a bullet as your picture suggests. You must kill a bad idea with a better idea.

A truly bad person, bent on your physical harm, you cannot stop with reason or an ideology, he must be stopped with brute force. Ask any swat team.

Antagonizing people also does not help your cause. People will either run or fight. If you back someone into a corner, and give no allowance for their pride, you force them to fight you, as they cannot run.

The responses you have received bear this out.

It is the complete opposite for me. I was a Republican for most of my adult life. I found through being a Republican Conservative, Republicans have too many stances on things that conflict with the ideology of Christianity. I changed to an Independent that leans toward Liberalism because the ideologies of Christ fit much closer to the Liberal beliefs.

Last time I checked, most of the Conservatives were switching of to Liberalism.....Maybe because Liberalist actually started to get the national debt into a decline, lowered the inflation rate on the American dollar, worked on bettering the nations healthcare and educational systems, weren't consisting of closet case gay men and women, weren't at one time drug addicts and actually lived for a purpose other than just war!

Many people never get the help for a mental illness and never grow up. Naw just kidding. I think Laugh and others hit the nail on the head. We must educate people and then help them. Take care.

Wow, you're admitting that conservativism is a cult and in order to join you must convert. Great pointing out that only the weak and feebleminded convert to it. Well, that's the first step in your recovery.

The age when Conservatives figure anything out doesn't exit! They're mindless sheep in wolves clothing.

You are a good example of where the right went wrong.....

Conservatives are the single biggest reason that Liberals have converted TO Liberalism.
