There are a lot of conservatives who are against the treatment of suspected terrorists as well. It is the old fashioned liberal - who today we call conservative, that fought for our bill of rights in the founding of this country. The values that protect the people from the government is historically the bedrock of conservative values that see the government as a potential enemy to freedom.
On the other hand, liberals are quick to ask government to help nearly any and everyone.

To take the second first--the belief that a fetus is a huan being is a religious belief. The fact that some people hod that belief does NOT give them the right to impose their belif on those who don't share it.
As for the detainees, everyone knows they are mostly innocent victims of Bush's abuses. If they really were terrorists, Bush woudn't have to break the law by preventing them from having a fair trial. The only reason for that is if these detainees aren't really guilty of anything.

Where is the slaughter of the unborn? I haven't read about where that is happening. Honestly, they have nothing to do with eachother and shouldn't even be compared. Think about it. It really does nothing for your own argument.

Oh yeah! A woman can sew a doctor if anything happens to the baby if it's in the ICU and it's a double murder to kill a pregnant woman but it's legal for a woman to go have her baby killed? WTH? Not a religous belif, a human rights one....

Treating anyone we detain with decency is the only way can possibly expect the same for any US troop or citizen abroad.
Being pro-choice doesn't necessarily mean one is pro-abortion just pro-freedom.

Why are conservatives so inflamed about women terminating their pregnancies, and not at all about families who are poor because they can't pursue education while raising kids, and then can't afford to support their children?
Why does the compassion evaporate after birth?
