What are we about to inherit when we pick up Iraq? What is the aftermath? Will this country come apart at the seams? Afterwards, do we inherit this country? Is this a Kosovo, a Bosnia, a Somalia? Is this a bag of worms that we are going to pay for in the commitment of our military and out of our treasury? In the gulf war, 80 percent of the burden, the cost of the war, was picked up by others. Are they out there right now, ready to pay for 80 percent of this war? Are there coalitions ready to commit troops, to fight and die by our side for this cause? If not, why not? Can our economy stand this? Can our military stand this? Are you ready to pay $5 for a gallon of gas at the gas pump and not complain? Is the risk that great?
