I have out of curiousity.

That's why I think it's funny dittohead cons label them as a liberal organization.

They are actually a christian conservative organization. You must be a christian to be a member of the klan and according to their website, they support conservative values.

Cons always bring up Byrd. Unfortunately for them, for every Byrd, there's a David Duke (former grand master of the KKK), Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, Trent Lott, Bob Barr, etc that went from Democrat to Republican.

Today the yankee Northeast votes largely Democrat while the confederate South votes Republican.

Been to the gas station lately? Gas prices have more than doubled since George Bush took office -- it's an outrage.

Thanks to the Republican road blocks in Congress, gas prices continued to skyrocket just in time for the holiday travel rush -- ensuring that millions of dollars flowed into the pockets of their Big Oil friends and out of the pockets of America's hardworking families.

Is there a law that prevents me from using various items that belong to my small town? We have various mowing equipment, a snow plow, and a wood chipper for our town and certain people have asked the mayor if they could use these items for home projects and they have been given permission by the mayor to do so. Does the mayor have that authority? I think think the taxpayers pay for these and they should only be used for the city. Also what about the liability to the city while they are in use while on loan?

In light of the failures in Iraq, the failure to catch OBL and al Zarhri, the Abu Graib scandals, the disgraceful and illegal torturing of people at Guantanamo, the funding of militants in Lebanon who have ties to Iran and some possible ties to al Qaeda, The rapidly declining dollar, rising gas prices & oil, rising budget deficits & ballooning national debt, rising food prices, and the economic woes of the collapsing housing market & financial market as a result of the subprime issues and the amount of our taxes wasted and missing in Iraq what do you think his and Cheney's legacy will be?
Will his legacy be of total success and triumph for America? Or, will it be "why limit ourselves to failure when we could go for EPIC FAILURE"?

BOSTON -- Lawmakers in Massachusetts will consider a proposed ban on spanking children in the state.

Boston television station WCVB reported that the issue is set for debate at a Statehouse hearing Wednesday morning.

The Boston Herald reported that State Rep. Jay Kaufman filed the spanking ban petition at the request of an Arlington, Mass., nurse who wants Massachusetts to become the first state in the country to stop corporal punishment.

If this proposal does become law and parents are caught hitting their children who are under the age of 18, they could be charged with abuse or neglect, WCVB reported.

I've been wondering this as Barack Obama has been getting a lot of press lately. I wonder if Americans will really vote for a black man? I read a lot of prejudice on blogs. People say that he's a terrorist muslim, schooled in a madrasa, will sell us out to terrorists. I even read one post that said "Muslim N****er will never be president."

Where do people get these ideas? Barack Obama is no muslim (not that there's anything wrong with that), and is actually mixed race (white mom/African dad), and has more familiarity with the white side of his family than the African side from what I understand.

All that leads me to believe is that America is still very racist, even we like to say we're not. So I don't think he could ever be elected. And that's a shame.

A Car being driven in a funeral procession that was hit by another car. The police officer who arrived spoke to a non biased witness who stated that there was a gap in-between the cars in the procession.
The driver of the car in the funeral processions was issued a ticket for reckless driving, and failer to yield to a traffic signal
The driver who cut through the funeral was not issued any tickets
The person in the funeral procession that was issued the tickets arrived at court on the scheduled court date to present defense case to fight the tickets with pictures, letters from her passenger about the accident & another letter from a witness in the procession
The police officer did not show up.
The driver who cut through the procession did not show up.
The Judge ordered a continuance & set another court date for 2 months later.
This legal matter is being handled in Chi Illi
my questions are:
does the person in the the procession need anything else?
is the other person liable?

Another poster suggested that the US would, inevitably, have to invade Canada for resources to satisfy U.S. needs. OK, so let's accept that hypothetical. The U.S. decides to invade Canada for oil or water or something else it needs... and that Canada won't bargain for.

What would the rest of the world do? Sit back and watch it happen? Intervene? If so, to what degree and in what ways?

It's hypothetical, folks. Please, no "I don't accept your premise", because if that's your response, you don't get it and your contribution isn't helpful.

Thanks to the Republican road blocks in Congress, gas prices continued to skyrocket just in time for the holiday travel rush -- ensuring that millions of dollars flowed into the pockets of their Big Oil friends and out of the pockets of America's hardworking families.

Remember the Bush Administration's secret meetings with their Big Oil friends to develop our nation's energy policy? We need to make sure the Halliburton presidency is in the past -- but with more than 60 Democrats sitting in seats that Bush carried in 2004, this November, Republicans will try to turn back the clock.

But 49% of the SANE Americans who didn't vote for good ol' Bushy boy TWICE and I aren't going to let that happen, are we? Hopefully ATLEAST 2 percent of the ignorants will have been converted by then, like I said, hopefully.

I know that I look at Bill Clinton differently than I do Hillary. I would vote for Bill Clinton again, because I believe he at least has some kind of conscience. Although I don't agree with everything that Clinton did, I DO think that he did try. I think part of this comes from the fact that his mother had to struggle to give them anything.

But I would NEVER vote for Hillary. I look at her as nothing more than an opportunistic snob who will do anything to gain more power while leaving the US citizens in the dust. I have the same disgust for her, that I do for Bush Jr.
