It was and still is necessary. This is comming from someone who has been there twice. Because this is only a agree or disagree subject I will leave it at that. If you want my reasoning behind it feel free to ask me.

the war in iraq was simply not necessary. That isnt even an opinion its a fact. Why did we invade iraq? Ill tell you, to find weapons of mass destruction. We went there conquered the country and what did we find? we found a dictator who was really bad to his people but what didnt we find? Weapons of mass desruction... therefore the whole war WAS NOT NECESSARY. If we didnt go in there, yes saddam would still be in power with NO WEAPONS. If anyone thinks this war was necessary i would really like them to explain their reasoning. BCM

all the great powers through history have been making wars in order to support their interests, from Athens in ancient Greece to the USA today. Oil is source of power today and it is for the interest of the US to control the countries which produce it. from this point of view the war in Iraq is normal and expected. if someone believes that the war is necesary in order to save the poor people of Iraq from a tyran is either stupid or below 5 years of age.

i think the originl war was worth it, but they should have pulled out as soon as we caught saddam. but now we have been there to long so we have to stay. i spent a year in baghdad and i think that we do belong there cause we are helping but the iraqis need to want to help themselves first.

What's the difference we are there now and need to support our troops. Let's concentrate on bringing them home safe.

disagree. They went in looking for unclear weapons which they didnt find, so they looked like idiots, after they got saddam, they are still fighting, only for oil, besides what ever happend bin laden, we hear that they are still looking for him, but come on, you wanna find him get out of iraq and into the right country.
