That's a school question? Hmmm unless it is college I think some one should have a talk with your teacher.

And No it is not. there are more effective and less costly ways to get oil. Drilling in anwar, we could have stabilized Venezuela and Daurfur making them close allies and trading partners for oil. any of those options would have gotten us vast oil reserves and not cost us nearly as much as a war.

OPPS sorry SK but you could have gotten that off my name =)

Disagree. We're not only in the war to get oil, but also to spread democracy in the Middle East. Both reasons are illegitimate.

Disagree.

We haven't "gotten" any oil nor will we. That would be globally obvious stealing.

Furthermore & most importantly, with all the money we wasted in Iraq, (upwards of a trillion dollars), we could have bought decades' worth of oil.

...In the words of Colin Powell, Americans go off to war not to take over countries - they only land they ever ask for is a burial plot, like those in Normandy, France.

I disgree. The liberals do not want to win this war so that they can win power. They are the ones who tell everyone America is just after the oil. Lie after lie. It is finally biting them back, but the news won't cover it.

Disagree JAH . If we were our soldiers would be controlling the oil fields right now.

Disagree. If we were in the war to gain control of oil, we would not be paying close to $100 per barrel.
