In light of the failures in Iraq, the failure to catch OBL and al Zarhri, the Abu Graib scandals, the disgraceful and illegal torturing of people at Guantanamo, the funding of militants in Lebanon who have ties to Iran and some possible ties to al Qaeda, The rapidly declining dollar, rising gas prices & oil, rising budget deficits & ballooning national debt, rising food prices, and the economic woes of the collapsing housing market & financial market as a result of the subprime issues and the amount of our taxes wasted and missing in Iraq what do you think his and Cheney's legacy will be?
Will his legacy be of total success and triumph for America? Or, will it be "why limit ourselves to failure when we could go for EPIC FAILURE"?

And How do you think the conservative corporate media is going to spin his legacy like they are doing now?

The worst President in American history with the most corrupt administration ever, and never be held accountable for their criminal activities (too many to list). Oh yeah, The only sitting President to commit treason and get away with it. Oh yeah,The DUMBEST President ever. Oh yeah, the leader of the largest flock of lobotomized lemmings ever assembled, or perhaps, smallest casket ever made to bury his post enema remains in.
Could be the stark difference in how America is thought of around the world, the massive debt he compiled, the culling of the middle class, indifference towards lower class people, increased worldwide terrorism, scraping the constitution, starting elective war(s) etc. all during his 8 years of rule. SO many more viable choices I just can't say for sure yet.

I think too many folks are turning off their TV's and getting online for Bush to be able to use the major media to cover his butt.

For instance, I cannot afford a TV channel like Rupert Murdoch, but I can afford a website... and due to that little fact, over 6,000 people have already seen my version of the truth.

I don't think History will be as kind to georgieboy as it has been to some other Presidents.

His mouth is his own worst enemy, and even if you can manage to convince people that he was "tricked" into being the way he is, it still makes him look weak at best.

Well, it depends on who is writing the history, the neo cons or the oil men. Both have ties to Saudi Arabia, who seem to be calling the shots here in the US. So, I guess his legacy will be more money for the wealthy while flushing the rest of us down the toilet.

Oh yeah, and selling us to the Chinese to pay for our war to protect Saudi Arabia's interests.

When Bush took office the United States was the world's moral authority, there was a budget surplus, oil was $19/bbl, the dollar was worth more than the Euro, and we had two towers at the World Trade Center.

Now, not so much.

A presidential aberation-one that inherited a strong, respected country and a relatively peaceful world and squandered all of it. We can only hope the next historical chapter will be that the next Prez was miraculously able to correct his mistakes and get us ALMOST back to where we were when Bush came on the scene. And that's no partisan garbage; it is very likely what history will say.

Nemesis, be careful there, you might hurt yourself. Look back and you will see the dollar began to decline the day libs took control of both houses, and effectively done nothing but pat themselves on the back because they managed to hoodwink a bunch of libs into thinking they actually have a chance to to manipulate the government policies and force the President to collapse the US Military.

Bush's legacy will be that of an expanding economy, low unemployment, low cost credit, housing boom, lower taxes, and six years without an attack on US soil. And, he managed to do all this without an intern under his desk, or by selling military secrets. PRETTY AMAZING! Billary can't make that claim, nor can Jimmy Carter.

If I was you, I would be more concerned with the dribble coming out of the Dem's mouths these days, that stuff is scary!

edit: I know this hard for you dimwits to understand, but the government CANNOT have a surplus, the Clinton surplus was all an accounting dog and pony trick. For you people to buy into, especially 6 years after it was debunked, really shows your lack of sense. Step away from the keyboard, go someplace other then the Starbucks, and stop listening to major media (they're lying to you!).

He will be remembered as the President who inherited a recession and a "fake" economy, fought terrorism fascist, brought back dignity to the blue-dress-stained White House, beat the idiot who claimed to invent the Internet, creamed some bozo "that was for the war before he was against it," and made me a HUGE amount of money investing in "Big Oil" & Haliburton while slashing my Taxes!

A total of 64% of American voters say that President George W. Bush has abused his powers as president. Of the 64%, 14% (9% of all voters) say the abuses are not serious enough to warrant impeachment, 33% (21% of all voters) say the abuses rise to the level of impeachable offenses, but he should not be impeached, and 53% (34% of all voters) say the abuses rise to the level of impeachable offenses and Mr. Bush should be impeached and removed from office.

A disgrace and will leave the nation battered, bruised and broken. He will be seen as highly unpopular not only in the US but worldwide. He threw away America's respectability. The recovery from this corrupt administration will take years, maybe even decades

Legacy would can be interpreted as a footprint that is immortal. The trillions of dollars in deficit will be his legacy. He started his presidency with a surplus. Now we may never be able to dig out of the financial hole he has created. That is a legacy.
