Has anybody ever checked out the klan websites to see what they really stand for?

I have out of curiousity.

That's why I think it's funny dittohead cons label them as a liberal organization.

They are actually a christian conservative organization. You must be a christian to be a member of the klan and according to their website, they support conservative values.

Cons always bring up Byrd. Unfortunately for them, for every Byrd, there's a David Duke (former grand master of the KKK), Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, Trent Lott, Bob Barr, etc that went from Democrat to Republican.

Today the yankee Northeast votes largely Democrat while the confederate South votes Republican.

I once cited a klan website to prove they are a right-wing organization.

One con told me I could not use a klan website as proof because they were biased.

Ha! No duh, but who knows better what the klan stands for.... then the klan???

Yes I did and yes I do. I tend to keep track of hate groups.. Their rhetoric about gay people, illegal immigration, liberals and saving America is exactly the same as that of conservative hardliners. Only the racism is more openly but that's it. The KKK votes GOP and is anti liberal.
One Byrd means nothing, you can't draw conclusions from one example unless of course you are not interested in truth and fact finding but in cheap demagogy which brings us to most conservatives of today yet again.
