DownriverDave: You realize those things are constitutionally correct? Taking your money and redistributing it for those without intiative is a miserable thought. Some people may not be self starters but they need to be led, not taken care of like children.

Moody Red, Looks like some of these people have not either
realized or are not willing to acknowledge that "Hillary" is indeed a Socialist at heart. This is the problem, and my fear is these people will get her into office. And because of their ignorance of the facts, it will be to late for us to stop the incoming Train that is Liberalism from reaching the highest point of power in our Democratic experiment that which is
The Greatest Nation and Government on this Earth.

You're indeed correct in your definition, in that it is better , in her opinion, that we would be a better society. If we where all miserable together. We would be equals in her eyes.

Pretty much. Tax the rich to feed the poor until there are no rich no more. Ok I'm blatantly plagerizing, but the results are the same. If you take all the rich peoples money and make them poor, everyone is equal, Socialism at it's finest! Of course when you run out of rich to tax and everyone is poor, there is no money to redistribute, Communisms true goal. Of course there are always some pigs that are more equal than others!

Hillary isn't interested in redistributing the wealth, unless it's in her direction. What she wants, is a place in the History books that will be without equal. What her true agenda is, I really don't know, and that's what scares me. She has promised everything to everyone (except mean nasty Republicans). Comparatively speaking, as far as flip flopping, John Kerry held a steady course.

Everyone but the elite leaders. You will never see the Fidel Castros, Hugo Chavezes, Robert Mugabes, and all the rest of the Liberal world leaders suffering like the poor people unfortunate enough to be stuck under their thumbs.

Well, Americans consider my country socialist but we are a pretty happy bunch. When I am sick I go to the doctor and it costs me 5 bucks. I waited 15 minutes in the ER when I hurt my hand in a gardening accident. which, by the way, I arrived at by bus with several people giving me comfort along the way because bus stops and bike lanes are everywhere payed for with my taxes. And ER visits are free. My kids go to wonderful schools, filled with art and music, not bullying and guns. My son is off to Uni for his degree at a cost of 10,000 for all 4 years. And he has 30 years to pay off his student loan, interest free. Not due until he starts working freeing him to go on an OE.There are maybe 100 homeless in the whole country and that is not for lack of a place to go. They just want to be free. But if they look like they need help they get it quickly. The low income housing is mixed with everyone else's so they feel like they are as good as everyone else and show pride in their homes. The air is pristine and the crime rate is very low. Every person that works is entitled to 4 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of employment. Every person. And the minimum wage is 11.00 an hour. I could go on but if you don't get it by now you never will. My taxes support me, not the rich. And not the murder of 1000's of innocent people in a senseless "war."
And you need figure out the difference between socialism and communism.
Norway is beautiful enzyme. You would love it. my country was voted second best...lol..

That is the only thing the Russians agree on. They found out that waiting for 6 hours in a store for a pair of shoes that don't fit, isn't all it's cracked up to be, so much for socialism. Hillary on the other hand would be in the Politburo and wouldn't have to succumb to the line standing.

Dave: I am happier with UPS and Fedex than I am with the US Postal Service. I think if I had a private fire department they would be cheaper and would show up on time, before my house burnt to the ground, and why do companies have rent a cops if the police force is so good?

Norway has been voted as one of the best countries on Earth to live. They are socialist. Crime and poverty hardly exist. CEO's make far less there than they would make in the U.S., and yet most Norwegians are happy with their lot in life. How many speedboats do you need to skii behind? For all of our posturing about saving the unborn we do a lousy job of saving those already here. We lead the world in incarceration and child poverty. We are not far behind third world countries in infant mortality. Norway is socialist. They put the lives of each other ahead of materialism. Who is the richer or the poorer, or the closer to what God sanctifies? I am Norwegian, two generations back by the way.

Socialism is a system where non-producers are rewarded, thereby encouraging more non-production.
Producers are penalized with higher taxes and more bureaucratic demands. That creates a situation that promotes LESS production, thereby assuring EVERYONE looses EXCEPT for the political tyrants that enjoy all their POWER.
They keep capable people too busy and too weak to remove them from power.

No, Socialism is alive and well in Canada, the USA, France, England, Cuba, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Spain, Mexico, and China.

It's part of every political structure on earth.

You are thinking of a Nazi Dictatorship (which did use socialism but is not the same thing interchangeably).

Have you ever heard of McCarthyism? Well, that is what you are taking part in... and that's alot closer to a dictatorship than Hillarycare.

According to that list of best places to live that was just featured on Yahoo I would say no- it seems like everyone is quite happy together.

I guess some people prefer our system of a very few people making more money in a month then you will make in your life.
