I'm tired of both parties not considering the people, but considering big business.

I'm at a high school age, but I never went, and don't want to go, so would it be possible to join the SF with a GED once I'm old enough? Or should I just not bother with the SF? Anything else I should know?

Serious answers only, please.

My friend voluntarily checked into a hospital with symptoms of depression and had suicidal thoughts, therefore, he was place on a "hold". He was in this hospital for 5 weeks and felt better than ever. He was then transfered to Blackfoot State Hospital in Idaho and has been there for a week. He's not seen a Dr. nor has he been evaluated. The place is extremely dangerous as well as full of extremely ill patients. He wants to leave but we don't know what type of crime this would be or what his rights are. Also, we would like to know what type of Attorney would handle a case such as this. The irony of it all is that he himself is a Psychologist.

Why now? Unless I'm mistaken, Hanoi John Kerry isn't even running for President again

BOSTON - Sen. John Kerry, whose 2004 presidential campaign was torpedoed by critics of his Vietnam War record, said Friday he has personally accepted a Texas oilman's offer to pay $1 million to anyone who can disprove even a single charge of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth

Does anyone really believe that there is any politican in Washington that cares about the average person. If so whom would it be and why. Anymore I think myself everyone of the is out for themselves. I cannot remember the house nor the senate nor the president doing anything for the common man since 1963. Am I wrong to feel that way???

Why are the costs of the Iraq war not considered part of our larger budget debate? On Tuesday, Bush vetoed Congress’ $606 billion labor, health and education bill because of a $10 billion difference on spending for domestic concerns. This on the same day President Bush signed a $471 Billion Military budget, which includes such "pork" waste as Joint Strike Fighters, Missile Defense and Space-Based Weapons systems. But he is asking for a supplemental appropriation of $196 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—an increase of $46 billion over what he had sought in October.

So it comes down to this: Bush can bust the budget for Iraq, but God forbid that we spend a little more on education.

Only the Bush administration continues to natter about a bogus "War on Terror." Others are more candid:

Republican Sen. Senator Charles Hagel: "People say we're not fighting for oil. Of course we are. They talk about America's national interest. What the hell do you think they're talking about? We're not there for figs." (Speaking at Catholic University, Sept. 24, 2007)

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, in his book The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World: "I'm saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: The Iraq war is largely about oil."

Democratic Sen. Jon Tester: "We're still fighting a war in Iraq and people who are honest about it will admit we're there over oil." (Associated Press, Sept. 24, 2007)

Gen. John Abizaid, retired CENTCOM commander: "Of course it's about oil, we can't really deny that." (Speaking at Stanford University, Oct. 13, 2007)

The Debt to the Penny and Who Holds It
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/BPDLogin?application=np

How much has the debt increased since we've had a majority of Democrats in Congress? I thought they were going to make our life better when they took office if we gave them a chance. What happened?

The President can't introduce and vote on bills. He can only endorse or veto them.

The war was already in progress, so look at all of the added expenditures this Democratic Congress has voted on since they've been in office.

I guess it's easy for them to spend someone else's money. Maybe they need a reduction in salary to the level they have put the majority of US citizens at.

Think it's time for a change?
