The Debt to the Penny and Who Holds It
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/BPDLogin?application=np

How much has the debt increased since we've had a majority of Democrats in Congress? I thought they were going to make our life better when they took office if we gave them a chance. What happened?

The President can't introduce and vote on bills. He can only endorse or veto them.

The war was already in progress, so look at all of the added expenditures this Democratic Congress has voted on since they've been in office.

I guess it's easy for them to spend someone else's money. Maybe they need a reduction in salary to the level they have put the majority of US citizens at.

Think it's time for a change?

I know for a fact that a large portion of our National debt
was created to fund the war in Iraq and "the war on terror".
Congress has continued to spend money that we ,as a nation ,do not have .The Republican Party controlled
Congress until recently ,but I must say that the Democratic
Party and the Republican Party are both to blame for
creating our National debt .At one point ,Bill Clinton and
a Republican-controlled Congress actually reduced our
National debt .

Bush, Bush, and Reagan created 70% of the National Debt. Bush has almost doubled the National Debt in seven years. More debt than all previous Presidents combined.

The war in Iraq is one trillion dollars. What happened to the other three trillion dollars Bush ran up in debt?

Change....Yup, you bet!! At the level of pres and vp.
I do believe that you need to do more research. bUsh is spending OUR $$$$$ like a drunken sailor. He does as he pleases...
He has alloted much to many organizations that we are not aware of....like Daddy bUsh to create his so-called libray in Texas and other no good projects that will remain in Texas.
And the War...ummm...he started the nonsensical thing to begin with.
He acts like a little spoiled teenage boy....NO!! His mentality is like a little spoiled teenager boy (with a credit card!).
He makes me want to get sick..........

Dems have been in congress for a very short time. This aDMIN and the republican agenda has been in progress much longer than that.

NO!! deckape....you are the one that is crazy!

Your crazy, once they receive that tax dollar it's their money, I'd like to see you convince them it not theirs and any debts they make belongs to us and when we default we'll have to learn Chinese. The war cost 2 trillion dollar and I'm not about to pay for it, I'll walk before I drive a $40,000.00 4 door 3/4 ton V8 truck that get 13 mpg in the city, you keep pumping that gas and paying that tax, $4.00 a gallon on the way, they know you people will do like people on crack, do anything to get the gasoline. Wake up and smell the Gasoline fool!!!!!!
