Voting for the person you think will lie to you the least????

If this is true, what does that say about our voting habits, the candidates, the 2 parties, and our own common sense???

to accept it? Why are people afraid to accept that they came from the ocean and crept upon the land millions of years ago?

Are we a democracy? We say we spread it, but is the goverment we are a part of a democracy?

I say no, a democracy gives more power to the people, were a republic, if we were a democracy, the votes we give every 4 years for president would mean something, not jsut be a popularity contest that means jack.

What are your views, are we a democracy, a republic, what are your views on this topic?

After watching last nights debate I found the numbers used very confusing. According to Senator Obama the top 6 % of Americans make $97,000 a year or more. According to the SCHIPs bill, the highest rate for the poor who need health care is $83,000 a year. Does that mean that middle America is only $14,000 difference between the two. I find this very confusing and would like to find out if this is accurate.

At the democratic debates in Las Vegas last night John Edwards pointed out that Hillary Clinton is taking contributions from special interest groups (he failed to mention that she is also taking contributions from convicted felons that Bill commuted their sentences and at least known felon who was wanted by the FBI). When he did there was a lot of booing from the audience. I took this as a show of disapproval for Clinton taking the contributions; however, I heard a discussion today that said Edwards was being booed. I still believe the booing was directed toward Clinton’s contributions. She is the bad element in the conversation; surely the people were not booing Edwards for letting the people know the truth. If Clinton does not want people to know she is taking this kind of money she should not be accepting it. What do you think; was the booing against Clinton or Edwards?

on one hand billions and billions are spent on military which could block border on mexico easily. coast guard, marines, air force, marines, border patrol, volunteers, etc etc. bull barleycorn. blocking the border is just getting unbelieveable lipservice. it hurts milions of profesional trade people, workers all across america. once is was left alone because they picked the crops. seemed okay. now it is altogether different.

is that okay with you?

In such a way that the government would give everyone that is able a job and pay everyone equally. This way there is no unequal distribution of wealth concetrated in the hands of the rich capitalists who think inequality is just, especially when they don,t mind exploiting the working class, paying them less then their labour is worth. I think everyone should be treated equally. Nobody should own anything, but rather we all share it and help to achieve a great society together. What do you think?

I was an immigrant myself before becoming a citizen. While being a Resident Alien, if I had lost my Green Card I would be "an undocumented immigrant" but I would still be a legal one. Why isn't everybody loudly protesting against this (deliberate, I suspect) twisting of a subject by the so-called "immigrants' rights advocates"???

I am writing an Ethics paper on the subject of mutually assured destruction. The idea is that when two countries have a critical mass of nuclear weapons aimed at each other, neither will attack because the threat of retaliation is too menacing. If peace can be attained through these means, is it worth it? I have my own opinions but I'd love to hear some more.

Thanks.

Why are they so pro-illegal? You wouldn't suppose that there is some kind of intimidation going on behind the sceens. Like if they don't stop Mexico won't be our freind anymore, & will make somebody else their freind. They know that over 80% of the American public is anti-illegal yet they persist on trying to convince us to compromise our stand on this issue. I know not what steps others will take, but as for me give me freedom from illegal immigration or give death. An American Patriot!!!!!!!

No global warming controls have been set up by most of the major nations, No one cares that we(The US) intend to nuke two opposing countries (Iran, North Korea), Our government is unwilling to allow Hydrogen or electric cars to be accesible to mainstream america, And we (The US) happily invade countries knowing full well we are adding to the apocalyptic hatred the muslim extremists believe in. Why are we allowing this to happen? Shouldn't we revolt and start anew? Shouldn't other major nations try to stop global warming too? Oh, and No republican/ Democrat propeganda Please; I want fact based answers not asinine opinions based on Fox News reports.

the military acts like they are this good way to travel and have fun when actually they are apying you to hide thier sin and waste and discust. having alcohol at the command and in the squadron office. the navy is just a bunch of drunks and if you dont drink you will pay dearly for it. its all about dictatorship and wasting money and making last minute decisions. cant work on the base if you have any type of charge? wow. thats retarted. how does my charge from 4 years ago effect you? did i lie or cheat or steal then fire me. dont fire me before i commit the act. the goverenment new about the attacks on 9/11 and now trying to shift the focus from them being at fault to base contracts being the reason.

On the way home from the mall today on the subway (traveling 15 feet above ground), on the way past a skate park a man chased and pushed down this man and started kicking his head and stepping on him...then a man got off his bike and tackled the guy attacking to get him to stop...then the train left and that's all I saw. Do I need to do anything...all I remember is that, and the attacker was wearing black and white stripped track pants. It looked bad, he was kicking his head in.

I havn't heard anything on the news, but it might still be too early...this was about 2 hours ago.
