In such a way that the government would give everyone that is able a job and pay everyone equally. This way there is no unequal distribution of wealth concetrated in the hands of the rich capitalists who think inequality is just, especially when they don,t mind exploiting the working class, paying them less then their labour is worth. I think everyone should be treated equally. Nobody should own anything, but rather we all share it and help to achieve a great society together. What do you think?

I think people would be a doctor, scientist, etc because they love that job, as opposed to people they get paid alot. And the incentive for everyone to work is that those who don't will go to prison.

You should always strive to have more in life then you do right now.
If all people are paid the same then why work hard?
Why open a business?
Why be better at something then someone else?
I do not want my doctor making the same amount of money that the guy at the gas station makes.
If you say that doctors should make more under your idea then you just created a different class. If doctors are not going to make more money then why be a doctor?
We will always have different classes of people. You should just work harder until you get to the highest level you can.
You don't think anybody should own anything, well that sounds great, so the government can take away everything they have given you because you don't own it.
Our government should not be giving hand outs to people, it is not their job.

lol then whats the point in life?
so no matter how much work some one does they get the same as everyone else, even a guy who does nothing?
that's called communism, it does not work.
you would have to keep people from wanting more, wanting better in life. You want to live life as a drone, by all means go right ahead, i would rather strive for more and work my way up. not spend my life in absolute drudgery.
Not even "Communist countries" follow that ideal anymore, because they discovered it is impossible unless you eliminate the human equations.
Sorry I like being human, feel free to become an ant if you like.
EDIT: money, a better life, more than what you have now, a future where you are comfortable and your children don't have to slave away. Yes that is the goal of most people, again another reason true Communism does not work in large scale populations.

sounds like communism...a very good idea but their is always corruption...haha we are studying this in social class right now. When Karl Marx wrote his book, "the communist manifesto", it included quotes such as "workers of the world unite!" and "from each according to ability, to each according to need" that makes alot of sense to me...I am good at writing, but terrible at math, so i would be an author or a secretary, or maybe use my hands on skills as an emergency medical worker or fire fighter. My sister is great at math, so she could be a scientist or something else involving lots of math. If i had a bigger family, i would get more resources, if her family did, then they would get more resources. The corruption begins when one person starts to take a large percentage of the profit that the people are making together for themselves. In most communist societies, the problem does not lie in the people not wanting to work, but in the government being selfish. So, I agree with the idea of communism as it is portrayed in a book, but i do not agree with it as it isseen in countries around the world. More specifically related to your question, yes i think we should all be equal and that it would work IF there was no gover nment corruption. I think that most people are usually willing to pull their own weight and if they dont, as you have mentioned, they would go to jail. makes sense to me. The only thing that I have a problem with is that people are naturally selfish, so they would propbabley do their best to get more than other people even though in theory they shouldnt be able to. Also, religion wouldnt be allowed and i dont agree with that because i am Christian. Anyways, i hope that answers your question or atleast contributes to the debate that you seem to have started! oh, and post secondary education would have to be free because the people wouldnt want to pay for it or have the extra resources propbably and then we wouldnt have enough skilled, trained workers

No, thank you, ma'am!!!! I'd rather our country stay the way it is....full of culture, conglomerates, malls, city lights, shopping, fun in the sun! Life is beautiful....Why change a good thing?
Oh, silly you, JJ! Why don't you take a trip to the land of communism...where all the people have the same pay, the same clothes, the same doctors, using the same needles as the person with aids, the same drabby buildings, eating the same food, served by the government, etc. Let me know how you are enjoying life when you get there....!!!! Seriously! Don't write anymore questions, until you go there and experience it firsthand, okay? DEAL!

I think if you want that move to a Communist country. Frankly you are equating jobs as being equal. If that were the case do you think people would be breaking their back and wallet to spend 4 years in college and then 4 years in medical school to be a doctor who is being paid the same as a janitor who never even went to high school?
You get what you work for. And frankly what would happen to everyone's motivation?
EDIT: It's not money alone. You are basically ensuring for a stupid uneducated mass of people. What motivation do they have to get educated?

Communism sounds nice but does not work in the real world. If everyone is paid the same, what is our motivation to do our jobs well? Who would want to be a surgeon if they would be paid the same for being a garbageman? Forced 'universal equality' stifles creativity and limits freedom. Instead, everyone should be given the same OPPORTUNITY to succeed.

I would like to see equality but just not in that sense. I agree jobs could pay more but I don't agree wages should be equal across the board. These are after all different jobs and should have different pay scales. Some jobs are harder or require more work than others, so why should they not be higher in pay.

That system is called communism. It's been tried a lot, it has always failed. Check out the leaders of the country and then look at the other people.

No, it will never work, only because their are some people that will always want more or think they deserve much more than another person. So I think their would be alot of hostility, but it would be nice to have that hope.
